Observed build up in air vents. 228.186(d) Cleaning ventilation systems, nuisance and discharge
prohibition. 228.104(1) Intake and exhaust air ducts shall be cleaned, and filters changed so they
are not a source of contamination by dust, dirt, and other materials.
Observed light bulbs in disrepair. Lights must be in working condition in 90 days or by next
inspection. 228.174. Functionality. (a) Light bulbs, protective shielding. (1) Except as specified
in paragraph (2) of this subsection, light bulbs shall be shielded, coated, or otherwise shatter-
resistant in areas where there is exposed food; clean equipment, utensils, and linens; or
unwrapped single-service and single-use articles.
Observed poor light intensity §28.177. Lighting Intensity. The light intensity shall be: at least
108 lux (10-foot candles) at a distance of 75 cm (30 inches) above the floor, in walk-in
refrigeration units and dry food storage areas and in other areas and rooms during periods of
cleaning.
OUT 44. Garbage and Refuse properly disposed; facilities maintained
Observed the dumpster doors were open. 228.152(f)(1-2),(o) §228.152. Refuse, Recyclables, and
Returnables, Facilities on the Premises. (f) Outside receptacles. (1) Receptacles and waste
handling units for refuse, recyclables, and returnables used with materials containing food
residue and used outside the food establishment shall be designed and constructed to have tight-
fitting lids, doors, or covers. (2) Receptacles and waste handling units for refuse and recyclables
such as an on-site compactor shall be installed so that accumulation of debris and insect and
rodent attraction and harborage are minimized and effective cleaning is facilitated around and, if
the unit is not installed flush with the base pad, under the unit. (o) Using drain plugs. Drains in
receptacles and waste handling units for refuse, recyclables, and returnables shall have drain
plugs in place. NOTE: DUMPSTER LIDS SHALL REMAIN CLOSED WHEN NOT IN USE.

easily cleanable, and light in color (b) Floors, walls, and ceilings, utility lines.(1) Utility service
lines and pipes may not be unnecessarily exposed.(2) Exposed utility service lines and pipes
shall be installed so they do not obstruct or prevent cleaning of the floors, walls, or ceilings.(3)
Exposed horizontal utility service lines and pipes may not be installed on the floor(c) Floor and
wall junctures, coved, and enclosed or sealed.
