Bridge-Making Contest
Objective:
Participants will design and construct a bridge using popsicle sticks and adhesive materials. The goal is
to create a bridge that is structurally sound, aesthetically pleasing, and capable of withstanding weight
       tests.
Team Composition:
Each team may consist of 5 members.
      Collaboration and teamwork are encouraged.
Materials:
      Popsicle Sticks
Wood Glue, White Glue, Glue Gun, Glue Sticks
No additional materials (e.g., tape, metal, string, etc.) are permitted unless specified.
Bridge Specifications:
      Maximum length:
      Minimum width:
      Maximum height:
The bridge must be a free-standing structure and cannot be attached to the testing surface.
Construction Rules:
The bridge must be built within the allotted time (e.g., _ hours).
Pre-cutting or pre-assembling popsicle sticks before the contest is not allowed.
Each bridge must have a designated roadway for weight placement.
Judging Criteria: Bridges will be evaluated based on the following:
Strength & Load Capacity (40%) – The maximum weight the bridge can hold before breaking.
Design & Aesthetics (30%) – Creativity, originality, and neatness of construction.
Adherence to Rules (20%) – Compliance with size and material limitations.
Efficiency (10%) – Strength-to-weight ratio of the bridge.
Testing Procedure:
Bridges will be placed on two supports with a set gap (e.g., 30 cm apart).
Weights will be gradually added to the bridge until failure.
The bridge that holds the most weight without breaking wins the strength category.
Awards & Recognition: Prizes may be awarded for the following categories:
      Strongest Bridge (highest weight capacity)
Best Design (most creative and visually appealing)
Most Efficient Bridge (best strength-to-weight ratio)
Safety Measures:
Teams must use caution when handling adhesives.
No forceful handling or intentional breaking of other teams' bridges.
Judges' decisions are final and must be respected.
Disqualification: Teams may be disqualified if they:
      Use unauthorized materials.
Fail to adhere to bridge specifications.
Engage in misconduct or disruptive behavior.
Additional Notes:
Participants are encouraged to research bridge designs beforehand.
Judges may inspect bridges before testing to ensure rule compliance.
Have fun and enjoy the challenge of engineering and creativity!
