Bookings are prioritized specially for those who live far from the laundry shop over walk-ins, and
customers can track their laundry status and receive notifications. Shops can manage orders,
assign tasks, and view reports on earnings and completed jobs. Free delivery is offered for
nearby locations, while distant areas have the option for pickup or paid delivery—making the
entire laundry process faster, more organized, and convenient for both customers and staff.

Objectives of the Study

This study aims to design and develop a web-based laundry booking and management system
to streamline laundry shop operations, enhance customer convenience, and improve task
coordination. The system will allow customers to book services online, monitor laundry status,
and choose delivery or pickup options, while providing the laundry shop with tools for task
assignment, order tracking, and reporting.

Specific Objectives:
1. To identify the essential information required for system development, including:
a. Customer registration and location details
b. Booking schedules and service preferences
c. Laundry status updates and notifications
d. Payment methods (GCash or cash)
e. Delivery and pickup service zones

2.  To design and implement a system that enables:


a. Customers to book laundry services, choose delivery/pickup, and track orders online
b. Laundry staff to manage bookings, assign tasks, and communicate status updates
c. Automatic prioritization of distant customers over walk-ins
3. To evaluate and review the system’s:
a. Usability for both customers and staff
b. Accuracy in booking and task management
c. Effectiveness in improving service efficiency and customer satisfaction
