The group tasks will be allocated either at the start of the semester or on a week by
week basis but most importantly you should be using one another as a key resource.
For example:
Anyone missing a lecture or seminar should contact their fellow group
members for updates and copies of any handouts
Use the group (and the power of many minds) to help you with coursework –
using the many and varied skills and expertise of your colleagues can save
you lots of time and effort.
Use the group for communication – if you can’t attend, let one of your group
members know so that they can pass it on to seminar leaders

You will be expected to meet together regularly outside the lectures and seminars to
progress tasks, read case studies, prepare presentations and so on. Please ensure
that all Team members are copied in on emails and texts – use Blackboard or other
technological platforms as a means of communicating/discussing if you wish.
Guidance for completion
Each group member will be given a copy of the contract Take approximately 20
minutes to agree and complete this.
1. Circulate all the documents so that each member can add their contact
details. You will be allocated a group number but if you want to give your
group a ‘Corporate Identity’ than agree a name for the team.
2. Think about the helpful and unhelpful behaviours that are most important for
you as a team and agree these.
3. Next, agree a Mission Statement that reflects the team’s values and
objectives – probably no more than 15-20 words.
4. Finally circulate the documents again so that each team member signs all
copies of the contract
