MEMORANDUM FOR DEPLOYMENT, HEADQUARTERS AND HEADQUARTERS BATTALION,

101ST AIRBORNE DIVISION (AIR ASSAULT)

SUBJECT: Command Team's Deployment Notification - Syria

1. We would like to take this opportunity to inform you of your upcoming deployment and extend our

support as you prepare for this important mission. You have been assigned to deploy with the

Headquarters and Headquarters Battalion (HHBn), 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), to Syria,

with a scheduled departure date of 24 June 2025.

2. As part of HHBn, you will join a team of highly trained Officers and Enlisted Soldiers operating

under the proud legacy and capabilities of the 101st Airborne Division. Your deployment in support

of overseas operations reflects the high standards, courage, and professionalism of the Screaming

Eagles. The mission will require dedication, adaptability, and teamwork as you contribute to a critical

operation in a complex environment.

3. Fort Campbell has provided you with extensive training, resources, and support systems to

prepare you for this deployment. The installation, along with your leadership team, is committed to

ensuring you are mentally, physically, and logistically prepared for this assignment. You will also be

supported by a wide range of family services, counseling, and reintegration programs before, during,

and after your deployment.

4. If you have not already done so, you will be contacted by your unit sponsor to provide guidance

and support as you transition to deployment status. Your sponsor will be a key point of contact and

resource throughout your pre-deployment process.
