Taylor Swift is a worldfamous songwriter who is best know as one of the top artists
in the billboard’s weekly ranking, winning multiple awards. Her first single was
released in 2006 and ever since that day she has produced lots of hits and been on

Early life and career
During the early years of her life, Taylor lived on a christmas tree farm with her family
who encouraged her to singingj. Moreover, her grandmother was a pro opera singer,
so that’s why Taylor followed her footsteps of singing. At the age of ten years old she
sang at a variety of local events such as fairs and concerts. By the time Taylor was
just twelve years old she was writing her own songs and singing them using her
guitar for the music. That’s when it all began, she followed her music career and
visited Nashville, Tennessee, then Taylor decided to move to Hendersonville,
Tennessee where her career began.
Synopsis
Taylor was born on the 13th of December 1989 in Pennsylvania, America (therefore
she is currently 26 years old.) Taylor, who named one of her albums 1989 named
after when she was born, soon moved to Wyomissing. Moreover, she craft songs
and then moved on to make a debut album at the age of just sixteen. Some of her
popular songs that you might of heard of are: ‘Love Story’ and ‘You Belong With Me.’
Later, in 2009 she became the top seller. Also, in 2014 with her album 1989 she
became a pop juggernaut.
Country Music
Soon, 2006 came and Taylor released her first single ‘Tim McGraw.’ It sold more
than 2.5 million copies and which was also in the top ten of the country charts! The
first song by Taylor Swift, which was no.1, was called ‘Our Song.’ After that she
brought out many of her best songs: ‘Teardrops on my guitar,’ Picture to burn’ and
‘Should’ve said no.’ Due to the fact that they were so good, she won the Horizon
Award for them. Then, by the time 2007 came, she was the top female vocalist in
Country Music.
‘Fearless’
For being the best artist, Taylor was nominated to win the Grammy Award in 2008.
Around that time, she came out with her new album ‘Fearless.’ Again it was top of
the country and pop charts and it stayed top for eleven weeks. By the end of the year
she was the highestselling artist of 2008.
2009 music awards
In 2009 Taylor netted several awards for her amazing work on ‘Fearless.’ Also she
won the female video of the year for her song at the CMT awards. On the 13th of
September 2009 she won the MTV music award making her first country music star
to win it. The win stirred controversy when rapper Kanye West leaped onto the stage
while Taylor was doing her speech, took the microphone and declared that Beyonce
should of won Taylor’s Award. Stunned Swift was unable to make acceptance
speech. Kayne was removed from the show. Later Beyonce accepted her award and
kindly asked Taylor to finish off her speech. Kayne rightly apologised privately and
also publicly on the Jay Leno show.
Major Success
Taylor became an even hotter commodity and her tickets were starting to all sell in
less than two minutes. She was the youngest artist to win the Grammy Award for
album of 2010 (Fearless.) Then she came out with a new album Speak Now. Some
of her songs from that album were ‘Mean,’ ‘Ours’ and ‘Sparks Fly.’ It was no.1 in the
billboard 200 chart. 2012 was the time for her album Red. It also sold more than
one million copies in the first week and so did her hit single ‘’We are never getting
back together.’ In addition her fifth album called 1989 made her the first woman to
sell more than one million copies in the opening week. Being the no.1 highest paid
celebrity which means she beat Justin Bieber, Rihanna and Lady Ga Ga with $57
million. Lastly in 2013 she own another award for her achievements.
Grammy winning award ‘1989’
Taylor released 1989 in October 2014. The catchiest track of the year was her song,
‘Shake it off’ and another song was ‘Bad blood.’ Her album 1989 sold more than five
million copies in the U.S alone. In February 2016 she opened the 58th annual
Grammy Award with the song ‘Out of the woods.’
Now
Taylor is still doing amazing all around the world and is still doing her wonderful
singing today.
