USER RECOMMENDATIONS PRELIMINARYEXAM

GENERALDESCRIPTION

The HI 8424 is a portable pH/mV/temperature meter with


microprocessor. It has an advanced user interface,
body protected against bumps, battery percentage indication,
low battery detection, automatic shutdown, calibration
automatic and error codes that guide the user during the
calibration and tracking of problems.
The pH calibration procedure automatically recognizes three
standard values stored: pH 4.01, 7.01 and 10.01.
This instrument can also be used for ISE and ORP measurements.

INITIAL PREPARATION
The meter comes complete with a 9V battery. Remove the
battery compartment cover on the back of the meter
and install the battery, paying attention to its polarity.
Remove the protective cap from the electrode before proceeding
any measurements. If the electrode dried out, immerse the tip in FC 200B / FC 200S
storage solution HI 70300 or standard solution pH 7 Combination pH electrode, with single junction, without filling and
