Kriya Yoga of Babaji
In the tradition of Yogui Ramaiah and Marshall Govindan Satchitananda
The First Initiation:
It consists of the 18 postures of kriya hatha yoga, kriya kundalini pranayam and
7 meditation techniques.
I am not sending you these poses, because they are very simple and can be found in your
totality in the book 'Babaji and the tradition of the 18 siddhas' (do you have it?) I believe
what is on the web, if not, I will find a way to send it to you or get in touch with you
I hung out with a friend who made a copy of mine, so you can copy it.
2.- Kriya Kundalini Pranayama
The most important technique of the system.
This Pranayama is really interesting, the best I learned from this school.
It consists of 6 phases, these are 6 aspects of the same pranayama that with time become
One can return alone.
Preparation:
-avoid holding your breath (in this system, only kevala is sought
Kumbhaka, the natural suspension of breath, never holds the breath
Posture: siddhasana, in the case of men bring the right heel to
perineum (if you cannot cross your legs, sit on a chair, with the
right column and place a tennis ball in the perineum to do the
pressure) and women the other way around.
The hands of men should be right over left with palms up.
upward, women to the left over the right, this is known as
Snake gesture
Perform Kechari mudra by bringing the tip of the tongue to the palate, little by
little will come arriving further back.
There will be two sessions a day, with a maximum of 16 kriyas per session (over time
are increasing)
At least 4 hours must pass between each session.
First phase:
Nothing pranayama action
Sitting in the previously described position, we inhale with a slight snore.
by partially closing the glottis (Ujjayi), every time we inhale mentally
we repeat 'VAAH', with the exhalation we mentally repeat 'SHIII'. With this
first phase the consciousness turns inward, to the source, SHIVA (in fact
vashi, it's Shiva backwards, when it repeats over and over it sounds:
vashivashivashi, with practice afterwards we don't repeat mentally, just
we listen to the VA - SHI, with each inhalation it's va and exhalation shi
Second Phase:
Nauli pranayama kriya
Inhalation: expands the abdomen, pushes down the diaphragm, expands the
chest and raises collarbones and shoulders.
Exhalation: lower clavicles and shoulders, relax the chest, contract the lungs,
raise the diaphragm, relax the abdomen, PULL THE ABDOMEN INWARD
FORMING A CAVE.
This phase energizes all bodies.
Third Phase:
Sita warm breath control practice
Inhalation: imagine and feel the sensation of cold entering and descending down to the
first chakra, as if you were inhaling ice, a very very cold wind.
Exhalation: imagine and evoke the sensation of warmth, from the first chakra.
you feel fire coming out to the nose and then it comes out.
Fourth Phase: (the most important)
Ida Pingala Pranayama Kriya
Imagine sushsumna as a channel that starts at the point that is between the
genitals and the anus (first chakra) and rise up to Sahasrara (through the spinal cord)
spine), on the sides, starting from the same point (first chakra) this path to
the left goes straight to the side of sushumna and ends at the crown of the
head but on the left side of the head. Pingala starts at the same
point, rises next to sushumna and ends at the crown but slightly
to the right side of it.
You visualize in the crown, two divine feet (of Babaji or of God or of the divinity)
as if the divinity were standing above your head.
When inhaling: imagine a bright blue sphere coming out of the first chakra (energy)
(sexual) and rises as you inhale, this sphere goes INSIDE
Ida nadi. When it reaches sahasrara on the left side, it exits from the head and touches
the divine feet, upon touching them this sphere melts and the bright blue liquid
surrounds the left foot of the divinity, the inhalation ends when the liquid
arrives at the big toe of the left foot of the divinity, immediately, without
pause, you begin the exhalation that starts when the blue liquid passes to
big toe of the right foot of the divinity, surrounds it and enters through pingala.
right side of the crown of the head) and descends through pingala ON THE OUTSIDE, the
the sensation that is evoked is that of warm oil running down the outside of
pingala leaving a blue trail, just like an oil, relatively thick, the
exhalation ends when the blue nectar reaches the first chakra, to
start a second kriya.
Important details:
this technique transmutes vital sexual energy, which is why it
must feel that when the bright blue sphere touches the right heel of the
divinity, melts and transforms, wraps itself more brightly and like a
oil (nectar), you can simultaneously feel the cold inhalation and the
hot exhalation (the nectar descends warm). This technique is the key to the
transmutation, and the key to awakening kundalini and achieving immortality
even, according to this tradition, since sexual energy transforms into Ojas.
Fifth Phase:
One-pointed love breathing technique
Breathe in deeply and breathe out deeply, but do not visualize.
nothing in particular, just keeping the eyes turned towards sahasrar
During the 16 kriyas. All the focus of attention is on a point at the crown.
from the head.
Sixth Phase:
KanidaTahupu pranayama practice
In this phase, we inhale in a set time (for example, 10 counts) and
we exhale in double the time (in this example, 20 times), without
no retention of any kind. The ratio would be:
1:0:2:0 (inhalation: retention: exhalation: retention)
The way to practice:
The first phase takes place on Friday, the second on Saturday, and on Sunday the
third, Monday the fourth, Tuesday the fifth, Thursday the sixth (always in
each phase 16 kriyas in the morning and 16 at night) and on Thursday all are practiced
doing 1 kriya from the first, then another kriya from the 2nd, another from the 3rd, another from
the 4, another from the 5, another from the 6, you start again, 1 kriya from the first
after another kriya from 2, another from 3, another from 4, another from 5, another from 6, and
after 4 kriyas only of the 4 (there would be the 16 kriyas of the session)
A session consists of the practice of the 16 kriyas corresponding to the day and the
meditation corresponding to the day.
This is the Kriya kundalini pranayam, according to Yogui Ramaiah and Marshall.

Meditation practices:
I synthesize fabrics because they are very simple and 'almost childish' for my taste, I am
according to my Italian friend, in that these meditations interrupt the
state achieved with pranayama, except for the first.
Details: a minimum of 15 minutes is practiced, there is no maximum.
right column, the right hand makes the Chin mudra, that is to say
thumb and index finger joined in a circle, the left hand makes Jnana mudra, the
same fingers but making a kind of square and both arms are
Cruzian, this is swastik mudra, relaxed tongue.
1.- Friday, meditation on detachment: with each thought that arises,
even the thought of "I am not thinking" is said mentally
DETACHMENT or I AM NOT THIS. (we are witnesses)
2.- Saturday: you practice 3 minutes of the first meditation technique and then move on to the
second, what is concentration in a chosen object, without changing
perspective, the entire session focused on concentrating on the object (the image)
from babaji, a stone, anything we like, with criteria obviously,
you visualize it mentally
3.-Sunday: 1 minute of the first technique, 1 minute of the second, and then
you start the third one, which is to imagine yourself as if in a silent movie without sound,
moving, walking, looking at the scenery, etc., etc...the starting point of
this technique is where you finished the second (if it was a stone, then you take
the stone and salt to walk or whatever you want to imagine, something that would please you
to do.
4. Monday: 1 minute for the first, 1 minute for the second, 1 minute for the third and you start the
fourth, it is to meditate, to reflect on something abstract, without form, for example
(love, patience, wisdom, truth, service, detachment, beauty, etc., etc., etc.)
you can also use this exercise to reflect on a phrase from a
sacred text of the siddhas or from a book of wisdom, then you should
note your reflections.
5. Tuesday: 1 min of the 1, 1 min of the 2, 1 min of the 3, 1 min of the 4 and
you start with 5 which is the same as 3, but this time with the 5 senses and
positive emotions, you feel the breeze, you smell, you hear the sounds, you see the
colors, etc, etc.. the starting point is the same as in the 2 and 3 technique.
6.- Wednesday: 1 minute of 1, 1 minute of 2, 1 minute of 3, 1 minute of 4, 1
from the 5th, and you start the 6th which is to feel the pulse, in different parts of the
body wherever you want, then you can check with your fingers if the rhythm that

7.- Thursday: 1 min of 1, 1 min of 2, 1 min of 3, 1 min of 4, 1 min
