PROFILE OF THE EDUCATOR

Teachers, in response to the demands of the present and future world, must develop
a set of skills and attitudes to achieve meaningful learning.

From this set of skills, several stand out, such as: thinking, creating,
design, solve, interact, manage, use, produce and communicate. All this with the
end of working, studying, and building visions in a team, self-evaluations,
commitments and sharing.

The teacher must be a leader who has the ability to model their
students, to be creative and intellectual, and furthermore, to inspire the students for the
search for the truth.

Generally speaking, it can be said that the teacher must demonstrate characteristics
of leadership, in which one must have a vision for the future and know how to communicate it,
a vision of innovative and advanced education, that is, assuming the
new paradigms and their implications.

The Bolivarian Educational System reviews that the Teacher Profile is very broad, and
specify 22 attitudes and/or aptitudes that one should have to train the new one
republican, a complete human being, social, supportive, critical, creative and
self-taught, with a strong attachment to the Homeland and with a clear sociocultural identity,
linked to the needs and realities of Venezuelan, Latin American, and Caribbean.

Consequently, it is necessary to emphasize that an educator must have the

following characteristic or profile:

Love and affection for their work where they must perform their duties, not as an activity.
not as something everyday and routine, but as a continuous experience and renewing experience,
otherwise it becomes a "torment" for anyone, where far from
enriching and making people grow, impoverishes them and directs them towards the only
the reward that remains for them: monetary satisfaction.

One must show great respect for oneself and for others. Establish a good
relational, emotional climate that provides high levels of trust and
student safety. He must be responsible, disciplined, and organized in his
work, act as an example for the students: in the way of doing the
things, in attitudes and values to be a role model.

You must have the interest in staying updated permanently, in

where not only must one be up to date, but must also be consistent with the future
immediate to their students, showing them the importance of learning to learn
and to learn throughout life.
Teaching the power of persuasion, immersing students in their own
knowledge, that allows them to be more critical of what they perceive, hear and
that invariably shapes them as human beings, must have a management
suitable for groups, considering the differences between them, knowing their
emotions, interests, experience, history, weaknesses, strength, and skill of
each of the students.

It should promote the active participation of students and provide spaces for them to
they make their own decisions, stimulating the investigative spirit and the
student autonomy. It should also be able to capture the different messages that
the student transmits, responding to their interests favoring communication
with him.

To conclude, it should be noted that the models have changed together with
society, consequently the profile of the educator has turned around
such that it is presented as a figure of support for the student, ceasing to be the
the only tool that the student has when becoming a promoter
towards research, self-development, and participation.

In such a way that an educator must not forget that part of their role is to serve as
model in many acquisitions of the student (for example language and manners) by
what must care for their performance and attitudes towards him.

In short, an educator helps to seek knowledge without imposing it.

they facilitate a progressive relationship with the truth and live their task as an adventure
humanizing in collaboration with others. Similarly, they must be
committed to revitalizing society, dedicated to overcoming through the
education today and in the immediate future, where we must be prepared and
willing to lead the necessary changes, who strive every day to be
better, and to improve the education and the society in which one is immersed.

For these reasons, an educator is no longer just a provider of a subject, but rather shapes

ROLE OF THE EDUCATOR AS AN AGENT

According to Matos (2000): "...the teacher is a mediator not in a declarative way; of

he must take on the challenge of getting involved in the construction of knowledge in
the classroom. What matters is not necessarily how much is known, but that it
rest on a theoretical-conceptual, psychological, and philosophical platform to

The teacher must be perceived as a promoter of learning, a motivator, and sensitive.
The teacher must know and respect the child's developmental state and facilitate
situations that invite the constant pursuit of knowledge. It is conceived
as a model and leader, focused on their students as subjects of learning... The role
the teacher interacts with two other elements to form a triad
interpretative: teacher - student - knowledge...

These interpretations by the authors Matos and González lead to understanding the
role of the teacher as a factor in the construction of knowledge and experiences.

A multidisciplinary perspective is maintained, with diversity and depth.

In general, it is concluded that the main role of the teacher is to facilitate and
help students build and rebuild their own knowledge about
the basis of promoting experiences in line with the level of development of the
the same and the intelligent structuring and evaluation of the experience.

THE EDUCATOR AS A COMMUNITY SOCIAL PROMOTER

The teacher as a social promoter acts when promoting participation in the

institution and the community. It is important to emphasize that within the context of the
current social reality, that the teacher must be a promoter of participation, it

The social promoting teacher is the one who intervenes in the community to stimulate the

integrate the community into the organization and vice versa, where together they form a
group, share experiences, set clear and achievable goals for
to undertake the search for these planned objectives.

The teacher, in their role as a professional, must perform different roles.

We are at the mandatory crossroads of leaving the path of educators

PROFESSIONAL IDENTITY OF THE VENEZUELAN TEACHER

Teachers, although they have been the subject of excellent analyses, have also been
object of stereotypical descriptions.
In many cases, there is almost a complete lack of theoretical criteria that
allow to delve with sufficient precision into the adhesion processes and
participation before society.

In some cases, the empirical indicators lead them to classify as

In others, it is focused with professional deviations in its practice, since
