EMPENNAGE / STABILIZERS ACCESS PANELS — MAINTENANCE PRACTICES

1. Empennage / Stabilizers Access Panels
A. General
Access panels are provided in exterior and interior surfaces to facilitate servicing, inspection and
maintenance of aircraft systems and components. Access panels are attached to aircraft structure
with fasteners. With fasteners removed, panels completely detach from structure to allow access to
systems components and internal structure.
B. Tail Compartment Floorboards
Floorboards provide ability to access components inside the aft section of the aircraft. See Figure
201 and Figure 202.

WAVY APPEARANCE. INSTALL SCREWS STARTING AT BOTTOM OF PANEL
CHECKING SEAL AND PANEL FOR CORRECT INSTALLTION. WHEN PANEL
IS LATCHED, THE PANEL WILL NOT MOVE IN ANY DIRECTION.
