The Bad Tooth

While Milo was eating his lunch, he realized that his tooth was
bothering him! He tried to finish his meal, but the pain was growing with each
bite. Milo knew that he had to go see the dentist, but there was one problem.
Who would want to remove a tooth from the mouth of an alligator? Milo was
not looking forward to finding another dentist, but he knew that he had to do
something about his tooth.
From the time he was little, Milo had bad luck at the dentist’s office. His
first experience was horrible: he bit the dentist repeatedly and finally had to
leave when the dentist refused to put his hands in Milo’s mouth. His most recent experience at
the dentist’s office was even worse, when the dentist took one look at Milo and ran out the back
door. Milo was very sad that everyone thought he was scary. He did not mean to bite people,
especially dentists, but it happens with all of the teeth in his mouth! All Milo wanted was to find
a dentist who would not be afraid and who could help him with his aching tooth.
Fortunately for Milo, there was a new dentist in town ready for the challenge. This
dentist had been warned about Milo, but this dentist had a plan! This dentist called Milo into his
office and explained his plan: he would have Milo fall asleep in the chair and then take out the
tooth. This way, Milo would not be concentrating on not biting the dentist and the dentist could
work pain free. Milo agreed to this plan and when he woke up, his mouth was pain free! Milo
thanked the dentist and left the office with a big, toothy grin.
