Working in rounds, start shaping the hat by increasing at three points to create
the tricorn points
Once the base shape is achieved, work in rows back and forth, decreasing at the end
of each row to form the flaps of the tricorn
Finish with a row of sl st around the outer edge for a finished look. Add buttons
and embroidery as embellishments.
Hair and Beard:
Attach strands of black yarn to the head for the hair, using a latch hook technique
or by sewing them in place
Braid strands where needed and add beads
Crochet a small mustache and beard and sew them onto the face
