Good evening teacher and classmates today I’m going to talk about the English singer-

songwriter Ed Sheeran, who was born in February 1991 in halifax, England.

When he was growing, he became part of a church choir at 4 years old and soon began
playing the guitar. At 11 years old, he was writing his own songs inspired by the
Damian Rice’s concert.

In 2008, he moved to London to start his musical career, but after losing his
scholarship he had to earn money singing in the streets. London was the place where
he started as a busker. While he was in London he had to sleep on the streets, the
subway, or the friends’ sofa to continue producing his music.

he wouldn’t be successful if he didn't work hard on social media, because in 2010, Ed


Sheeran appeared in an online video that showcased his talents to the world. When a
video he posted online got the attention, the world started tuning in to his YouTube
videos and some big names and newspapers started mentioning him. After that, He
went to Los Angeles for a poetry night. After his performance, Jamie Foxx, the famous
American actor, who was quite impressed with Ed Sheeran's performance, allowed
him to use his recording studio.

In 2011, Ed Sheeran appeared for the first time in TV music show ‘Later… with Jools
Holland’ to perform his debut single, ‘The A Team’. It became a huge hit that allowed
him was invited to work with Atlantic Records. With their help, he created his label
debut studio album “+”. From his debut album, Sheeran left behind the decline of the
London pubs that saw him grow up and began to compose for stars like One Direction
or Taylor Swift.

Finally, in 2016 he won the Grammy Award for Best Song of The Year.so if I hadn't seen
Ed Sheeran’s life story, I would have taken his fame for granted.
