GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

 The Project can be inter-disciplinary in theme.


 The ideas/issues highlighted in the chapters/ poems/ drama given the
prescribed books can also be developed in the form of a project.
 Students can also take up any relevant and age-appropriate theme.
 Avoid controversial topics.
 Such topics may be taken up that provide students with opportunities for
listening or speaking. Hence, just research-based projects or book
reviews will not be accepted.
 The students will do their research, decide on the topic after consultation
with their teachers and then pick any listening or speaking activity
complementing their topic, not the other way round.
 Project needs to be handwritten except for the Title Page, Certificate and
Acknowledgement, Material Evidence and Graphs used to present
collected data.
 Title, Acknowledgment and Certificate pages will be provided by the
school.
 Project should be presented in a file.
 Content to be written in ruled papers or project papers.
 LISTENING BASED PROJECTS
- Will be made individually.
- Podcast/documentary considered to be listening tasks.
- Refer Annexure I and II for detailed explanation.
 SPEAKING BASED PROJECTS
- Can be made individually or in pairs.
- Separate files to be made by each student, if working in pairs.
- Only Physical surveys, where the students themselves go and ask the
questions and respondents, will be counted as material evidence.
- Questionnaire to be approved by teacher before conducting the
survey.
- Online forms from any platform (e.g. Google forms) for data collection
are not allowed.
- Minimum 10 respondent data to be collected. Maximum no. of
respondents will depend on the topic and teacher consultation.
- Refer Annexure I and II for detailed explanation.

PROJECT PORTFOLIO OUTLINE


Kindly follow the below sequence for the Project Portfolio:
1. Title Page

2. Acknowledgement

3. Certificate

4. Index (Students will list Sr. Nos. 5 to 10 in the Index)

5. Statement of purpose/objectives/goals

- List Minimum three objectives

6. Action Plan

-List steps taken for the completion of the Project

7. Material Evidence (Refer Annexure I)

8. Report (Refer Annexure II)

9. Student Reflection

-Student will reflect back on the entire project making process and mention the learning,

skills developed, knowledge and experience gained, and any hindrance or setback in

achieving project goals.

10. Bibliography

- Cite all online and offline resources.

ANNEXURE I- MATERIAL EVIDENCE


Please attach the following as material evidence:
FOR LISTENING BASED PROJECT:
 Transcript of the Podcast or Documentary.
 Survey-reports and other material evidence of learning progress and
academic accomplishment.
 Photographs that capture the positive learning experiences of the
student.

FOR SPEAKING BASED PROJECT:


 Filled out questionnaires.
 Survey-reports and other material evidence of learning progress and
academic accomplishment.
 Photographs that capture the positive learning experiences of the
student.

ANNEXURE II- REPORT


FOR LISTENING BASED PROJECT:
 Introduction of the topic based on the research done. (2 to 3 pages)
 Student’s views countering or agreeing with the speakers of the
Podcast/Documentary. (2 to 3 pages)
 Conclusion of the topic. (1 to 2 pages)

FOR SPEAKING BASED PROJECT:


 Introduction of the topic based on the research done. (2 to 3 pages)
 Data representation in the form of Graphs for data collected for each of
the questions.
 Data analysis of each the questions.
 Summary of the data collected.
 Conclusion of the topic. (1 to 2 pages)

ASSESSMENT CRITERIA
The following points will be kept for consideration while assessing
the project portfolios:
● Quality of content of the project
● Accuracy of information
● Adherence to the specified timeline
● Content in respect of (spellings, grammar, punctuation)
● Clarity of thoughts and ideas
● Creativity
● Contributions by student pairs (In case of Speaking activity)
● Knowledge and experience gained
