Adorable Sunflower
🎯 Skill Level: Beginner–Intermediate
BASIC CROCHET STITCHES
Chain Yarn over and pull through the loop on your hook. Repeat this step
until you have the desired number of chains.
Gauge In crochet refers to the number of stitches and rows you make in a
specific measurement — usually in a 4 x 4 inch (10 x 10 cm) square.
Slip Knot Wrap the yarn tail behind the working yarn to create a loop, then pull the
working yarn through it to form a new loop. Start your magic circle by
placing this loop on your hook and tightening it.
slip stitch Insert hook in stitch indicated, yarn over and draw through all loops.
Single Crochet Insert your hook into the stitch, yarn over, pull up a loop (2 loops on
hook). Yarn over again, pull through both loops on the hook.
double crochet Yarn over, insert hook, yarn over, pull up a loop (3 loops on hook), yarn
over, pull through 2 loops, yarn over, pull through remaining 2 loops.
half-d crochet Yarn over, insert hook, yarn over, pull up a loop (3 loops on hook),
yarn over, pull through all 3 loops.
treble crochet Yarn over twice, insert hook into stitch, yarn over and pull up a loop
(4 loops on hook).Yarn over, pull through 2 loops — repeat 3 times.
Magic Circle The magic circle is fun, however, you can also chain 4, join to the first
chain and work your stitches into the center of the chain 4 (ch-4) as
shown in figure.
