When using the recommended materials, the length of the coaster is 14 cm.
The leaf can be used as a coaster for hot dishes, table setting and interior
decoration.

Materials:
1 YarnArt Begonia (100 % cotton, 50g/169m), green (№ 6332) color.
Yarn weight is 2 - Fine.
2 Hook № 2.5.
3 Scissors.
4 Iron.
The recommended yarn can be replaced with any other suitable color.
Abbreviations:
(US standard of the Craft Yarn Council)
st / sts - stitch / stitches
ch - chain stitch.
sl st - slip stitch.
sc - single crochet.
arch - make (1 sc + 2 ch + 1 sc) in 1 stitch.
inc - make 2 sc in 1 stitch.
dec - crochet 2 stitches together as sc.

The leaf is made in back-and-forth rows. Single crochets are crocheted in both loops
of stitches.
In this pattern, rows may start in the 2nd or in the 3rd stitch from the hook. That is
indicated at the beginning of each row.
In the process of the work, the edges of the leaf are convolved, so I ironed the leaf
before photographing for clarity only. When crocheting, it is not necessary to iron the
coaster, it is enough to steam it after completion.
Make a chain of 4 loops. It’s the base for the 1st row. Crochet along both sides of the
chain.
1) starting in the 2nd st from the hook, make 2 sc (shown with the red crosses in the
photo № 1); make the arch (1 sc + 2 ch + 1 sc) in the last loop of the chain (shown
with the blue crosses and dots in the photo № 1); along the opposite side of the
chain crochet 1 sc (shown with the orange cross in the photo № 1), 1 ch (shown with
the purple dot in the photo № 1), turn the crochet.

2) starting in the 2nd st from the hook, make 2 sc, make (1 sc + 2 ch +1 sc) in the
arch of the previous row, 2 sc, 1 ch, turn the crochet.
3) starting in the 2nd st from the hook, make 3 sc, make (1 sc + 2 ch + 1 sc) in the
arch of the previous row, 3 sc, 1 ch, turn the crochet.
4) starting in the 2nd st from the hook, make 4 sc, make (1 sc + 2 ch + 1 sc) in the
arch of the previous row, 4 sc, 1 ch, turn the crochet.

5) starting in the 2nd st from the hook, make 5 sc, make (1 + sc 2 ch + 1 sc) in the
