** if you are having trouble with the ldc you can switch to just doing a regular dc
stitch – the top will be more sheer **
Row 2: ch 3, ldc in each dc across to ch 2 sp, [2 ldc, ch 2, 2 ldc] in ch 2 sp, ldc in
remaining sts across, turn (54 ldc total)
For sizes small (medium, large, extra large):
Row 3-6 (3-8, 3-10, 3-12): rep row 2
For size S (M, L, XL) you should have 70 (78, 86, 94) ldc total. If you want more
coverage repeat row 2 until desired length is reached.
Now you will start on the sides of the top. You will be working each side separately

Trim & straps
The trim is worked around the edge of the top starting at the last tr made from your
edging and ending at the other last tr from your edging. See the arrows above. You
will be starting at the orange star, going down the side, across the bottom, and then
up the other side.
Picot st – ch 4, sl st in 4th ch from hook, picot made
Ch 85, sc in tr from end of edging, (picot, sc in next dc) across to ch 2 sp at corner of
top, ([2 sc] in next ch sp) 3 times, [4 sc] in next ch sp, *[2 sc] in edge of next dc, picot,
rep from * across to 2 ch sp in middle of top, [2 sc] in 2 ch sp, **picot, [2 sc] in edge
of next dc, rep from ** across to 4 ch sp of edge of top, [4 sc] in next ch sp, ([2 sc] in
next ch sp) 3 times, (sc in next dc, picot) across opposite edge of top, sc in last tr of
edging, ch 85
Back tie: ch 150, knot ends, weave through the 4 loops at the back of the top to
create a corset-style tie.
