Subject: Formulation of separate cadre rules for the teaching faculties of
Government Polytechnics and Government ITIs by way of restructuring of
odisha Technical Education & Training service (orE&Ts) Rules, 19g5.
The OTE&TS Cadre Rule was formulated in the year 1985 and came into force
vide this Department (erstwhile Industries Department) Notification No.6B5 dated
12.09.1985 and subsequently modified by this Department vide Notification No.6401
dated 31.10.2013, Notification No.112 dated 11.01.2016, Notification No.2689 dated
01.06.2017, Notiflcation No.5490 dated 09.11.2017 and Notification No.4927 dated
21.L2.2020. In the meanwhile, the number of Industrial Training Institutes
and
Government Polytechnics have increased manifold along with th6 faculties. Ipso
facto, with a view to addressing the issue of stunted career progression of faculties,
bringing out a
seamless separate cadre structure and' eniiching the human
resources, Government in SD & TE Department after careful consideration
have
been pleased to restructure and rename the two cadres as follows:
1. Odisha Government Polytechnics Teachers'Service (Methods of Recruitment
and conditions of service) Rules, 2024 in short ocpi-s Rules, 2024.
2. Odisha Government ITIs Trainers' Service (Methods of Recruitment and
conditions of service) Rules, 2024 in short OGITS Rules, zoz4.
The odisha Government ITIs Trainers'service Cadre structure
will be as follows
which has got the concurrence of Finance Department and GA pG
