LETTER FROM
The Principal
It is with immense pride and anticipation that I
extend a warm welcome to all delegates, faculty
advisors, and esteemed guests for the second edition
of the Jagran Public School Model United Nations
(JPSMUN).
As the renowned American orator and statesman
Daniel Webster once said, “Mind is the great lever
of all things; human thought is the process by
which human ends are ultimately answered.”

The Model United Nations platform offers an unparalleled opportunity for

young minds to step into the shoes of global leaders, engage in critical discourse,
and collaboratively seek solutions to the world's most pressing issues. It is a
crucible where diplomacy is forged, perspectives are broadened, and the art of
articulate persuasion is honed. JPSMUN provides that perfect arena for your
thoughts to take flight, to challenge, to defend, and to ultimately contribute to a
deeper understanding of our interconnected world.

To the organizing committee, your tireless efforts and meticulous planning are
truly commendable. To all the delegates, embrace this experience, debate
passionately, listen empathetically, and strive for consensus.

I wish the 2nd Jagran Public School Model United Nations a grand and
impactful success! May your deliberations be insightful, your resolutions
transformative, and your experience unforgettable.

Warm regards,

Rudrendra Basak
Principal
Jagran Public School
Lucknow

LETTER FROM
The Mun Coordinator
Dear Delegates, Faculty Advisors, and Honored
Guests,

It gives me immense pleasure to welcome you all to the

Second Edition of the Jagran Public School Model
United Nations (JPSMUN). As we gather for this
prestigious event, I am filled with excitement and
admiration for the brilliant young minds that will
soon bring the spirit of global diplomacy to life.

In the words of John F. Kennedy, “Let us never negotiate out of fear. But let us never fear
to negotiate.” This sentiment lies at the heart of every MUN — a platform where intellect
meets empathy, and discussion paves the way for discovery and change.

JPSMUN is more than a simulation — it is a dynamic space where ideas are tested, voices
are elevated, and solutions are born. It offers each of you the chance to challenge
assumptions, refine your reasoning, and grow both as individuals and as members of a
global community. Whether you are taking the floor with confidence or listening deeply to
another’s stance, know that every contribution matters.

To the organizing committee — your dedication and vision have brought this event to life,
and for that, we are deeply grateful. And to every delegate — step into your role with
purpose. Debate with integrity, collaborate with respect, and above all, learn from every
moment.

Here’s to a meaningful and memorable conference. May your time at JPSMUN be filled
with impactful discussions, strong camaraderie, and the kind of growth that extends far
beyond committee walls.

With best wishes for a successful conference!

Priti Sharma
MUN Coordinator,
JPSMUN 2025

LETTER FROM
The Mun Incharge
Dear Delegates, Advisors, and Participants,

It gives me immense pleasure to welcome you all to

JPSMUN 2025, the annual Model United Nations
conference of Jagran Public School. As the MUN
Incharge, I take great pride in inviting young, dynamic
minds from across the nation to be a part of this
intellectual and diplomatic pursuit.

JPSMUN has always stood as a platform for constructive debate, critical thinking, and
global awareness. This year, we aim to raise the bar even higher by introducing thought-
provoking agendas, well-structured committees, and an environment that fosters
collaboration, leadership, and innovation.

We firmly believe that Model United Nations is more than just a simulation. It is a
transformative experience that instills in students the values of diplomacy, negotiation, and
empathy. Through this conference, our goal is to empower students to voice their opinions
confidently and respectfully while understanding global perspectives.

I appreciate the dedication of the Executive Board, Secretariat, and Organizing

Committee, who have worked tirelessly to bring this vision to life. To all the delegates: we
look forward to witnessing your enthusiasm, preparation, and diplomacy as you take the
floor and represent your assigned nations.

On behalf of the entire institution, I wish you all a meaningful and rewarding experience at
JPSMUN 2025.

Warm regards,

Atul Bara
MUN Incharge

MUN Basics
MUN stands for Model United Nations, it is a model of United
Nations where students (known as delegates in MUN lingo) represent
their allotted countries on given global issues. It is an academic
simulation of the United Nations where students roleplay as
diplomats to discuss and debate global issues. It's a popular
extracurricular activity that helps participants develop skills in public
speaking, research, writing, and diplomacy, while also learning about
the UN and international relations

WHY SHOULD YOU DO MUNs?

· MUN fosters a range of skills, including:
· Public Speaking: Students present their country's position and
participate in debates.
· Research: Participants research their assigned country and the issues
being discussed.
· Writing: Students draft resolutions and other documents.
· Negotiation and Diplomacy: Participants engage in discussions and
negotiations to build consensus and find solutions.
· MUN provides a hands-on way to learn about the UN's structure,
functions, and the complexities of international cooperation
· Provides opportunities to connect with students from other schools.
· Increases confidence in public speaking and interaction with others.
· Participation demonstrates valuable skills and can be a strong
addition to college applications.
