LEARNING OBJECTIVES
At the end of the lesson, most pupils will be able to write about their friend’s favourite animal in
M one sentence with support.

C At the end of the lesson, most pupils will be able to use capital letters in personal names correctly.

1. Teacher reviews animals vocabulary by playing anagrams with the pupils.


I. PRE-LESSON 2. Teacher uses key words from the unit. (e.g. z-l-i-r-d-a)
3. Pupils are allowed to discuss in pairs to solve the anagrams in groups.
1. Teacher tells pupils a story of a boy and his beloved pet cat.
2. After the story, teacher then asked pupils if they have a pet which they
love most.
3. Teacher takes note of pupils responses.
4. Teacher then shows pupils a flashcard of an animal.
II. LESSON 5. Teacher then tells pupils that it is teacher’s favourite one.
DEVELOPMENT 6. Teacher pre-teach model sentence
‘(your name)’s favourite animal is a xxx.’
7. Teacher then hold up another flashcard and ask pupils to write the
sentence: ‘(Your names)’s favourite animal is a…’
8. Teacher checks by asking a pupil to write the sentence on the board.
Repeat a few times.
1. Teacher explains the instruction for the next activity.
2. Teacher distributes worksheets.
3. Pupils need to use the model sentence taught and write about their friend’s
favourite animal in one sentence.
III. POST LESSON
4. Teacher walks around the class and provide assistance.
5. Teacher then invites a few volunteers to write their sentence on the board.
6. Teacher and pupils check for error.
7. Teacher gives feedback and wraps the lesson up.
