A JOINT BARANGAY COUNCIL OF BARANGAY 83-B AND BARANGAY 84
RESOLUTION APPROVING THE CONSTRUCTION OF ROAD HUMPS ON
CERTAIN PUBLIC ROADS WITHIN THE TERRITORIAL JURISDICTION OF
BARANGAY 83-B AND BARANGAY 84 COGON SAN JOSE TACLOBAN
CITY.
WHEREAS, The 1987 Constitution, Article 2, Section 5 provides that the
maintenance of peace and order, the protection of life, liberty, and property,
and the promotion of the general welfare are essential for the enjoyment by
all the people of the blessings of Democracy;
WHEREAS, the Sangguniang Barangay of 83-B deemed it necessary to
construct road humps in specific areas, because some constituents/motorists
have been observed speeding and driving in a risky manner.
WHEREAS, road humps are arguably effective in the streets because it may
effectively reduce vehicle speeds and it protects crossing pedestrians from
speeding vehicle;
WHEREAS, the Sangguniang Barangay of 83-B has identified the streets
prone to accidents and construction of speed humps will avoid further
recurrence of accidents;
NOW THEREFORE, on motion of Sangguniang Barangay Member HON.
WINSTON DAVE M. LINDE duly seconded by all the members present be it;
BE IT RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, to pass a resolution a
resolution approving the construction of road humps on certain public roads
within the territorial jurisdiction of Barangay 83-B and Barangay 84 Cogon
San Jose Tacloban City.
RESOLVED FINALLY, that copies of this resolution be furnished to all offices
concerned.
