INSTRUCTIONS TO THE ASSESSOR

1. Allocate the candidate THREE HOURS to complete the task.


2. You are required to mark the practical as the candidate performs the tasks.
3. You are required to take video clips at critical points.
4. Ensure the candidate has an identification tag pinned at the back and front near the shoulders
showing Candidate’s name and registration code.

TASK 2: CHECKING AND SERVICING OIL FILTER

a) Check the type and amount of oil needed
b) get together oil filter wrenches and other supplies
c) locate oil filer and drain plug
d) run the engine for three minutes
e) switch off the engine
f) drain the oil
g) tighten drain plug
h) change oil filter
i) add new oil
j) run the engine for two minutes
k) check engine oil level and top up appropriately
