MIN 1 30/6/025 PRELIMINARIES

The meeting was opened with a word of prayer by Zakaria Kamau at 2.10 pm; thereafter the
chairperson welcomed the members to the meeting thanking them for keeping time.

MIN 2 30/6/025 READING AND CONFIRMATION OF MINUTES

The minute of the previous meeting were read by the secretary. They were proposed by
Eugene Maina and Elisha Mwangi seconded and was good as passed by members

MIN 3 30/6/025 MATTERS ARISING

On matters arising is about the replacement certificate before the next meeting and we all
agreed it be done.

MIN 4 30/6/025 CONTRIBUTIONS

Contribution was done for savings and loans were all member return their loans and save was
27850/=, then the needy member carried loans of 20,430/= 7420/= was taken to Taifa Sacco
by treasurer.

MIN 5 30/6/025 CERTIFICATE REPLACEMENT

Member s agreed to replace our certificate and all members agree where they write their
names and ID numbers and telephone number meaning they agreed.

MIN 6 30/6/025 AOB

There was no other business and a word of prayer was led by Joseph Kiama

CONSTITUTION

1. NAME

Muhiriga Chaka self help group

2. location and address

The group is based at KCC ground near chaka market.

p.o box 113 kiganjo

3. vision

the vision of chaaka(muhiriga) self help group is to change each members mode of living eg
make more efforts and lastly members to own a piece of land

4. objectives
a. to raise each other economically
b. to raise the standards of group members
c. empower one another
d. change the group members mode of living from a low class to a higher class
5. core values
i. respect
ii. transparency
iii. unity
iv. punctuality
6. activities

chaka muhiriga self help group have the following activities:

i. savings
ii. table banking
iii. poultry keeping
iv. merry go round
v. welfare
vi. parental vistings
7. office bearers

the group shall have the following officials to lead them:


i. chairperson
ii. vice-chairperson
iii. secretary
iv. vice-secretary
v. treasurer
vi. disciplne master/mistress
a. chairperson
 the group chairman shall preside over all meetings of the group
 he/she shall be a bank account signatory
 he/she shall be responsible for following up members o ensure that they have carried
out all activities are set out by the group
b. vice chairperson
 the vice chairperson shall perform any duty of the chairperson in his/her absence or as
directed by the chairperson but not signatory duties.
c. secretary
 the group secretary shall deal with all correspondence of the group under supervision
of the officials
 shall be a bank account signatory of the group
 shall keep group records of the group and write minutes of the meetings
 the certificate of the group should also be kept y the secretary
d. vice secretary
 the vice secretary shall perform the duties of the secretary in his/her absence as
directed by secretary but not the signatory duties.
e. treasurer
 the group treasurer shall receive and disperse under the direction of the officials all
money belonging to the group
 shall keep group financial records and give it to the members whenever he/she is
required to do so.
 shall be a bank account signatory
f. discipline master/mistress
 he/she will be incharge of the discipline in the group and also have records of fines of
the group
8. tenure of office bearers

term of office shall be two years

elections shall be done to elect new officials after two years


9. membership
i. becoming a member
a. a member should be sober and 18 years and above
b. a new member should be brought by a member who has been a member of the group,
whereby he/she will be discussed by the members and then handed over to the
officials and the final decision will be made after he/she have been interviewed if
acceted will join the next meting
c. if the member is accepted he/she should fill a form with 1000/= non refundable
memberhip fee, pay 100/= for pass book and pay monthly contribution of the month
he/she joins the group
d. a new member should pay a seating allowance of 1000/= and also pay the amount that
has other members has contributed
e. every member will make a contribution of 500/= per month. members agreed that
saving will be made equally unless a member pay some months in advance ut the
amount should be equal.
