Chaplet of Divine Mercy
Chaplet of Divine Mercy
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
You expired, Jesus, but the source of life sprung forth for souls and a sea
of mercy was opened to the entire world. Oh! source of life, unfathomable Divine Mercy,
"embrace the whole world and pour yourself over us" (Diary, 1319).
The three introductory sentences (Our Father, Hail Mary, and the Creed):
Our Father
Our Father who art in heaven,
hallowed be Your name, Your kingdom come
Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread
and forgive us our debts
as we forgive our debtors,
do not let us fall into temptation,
and deliver us from evil. Amen
Hail Mary
Hail Mary, full of grace
The Lord is with you.
Blessed are You among all women
and blessed is the fruit of Your womb Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners
Now and at the hour of our death. Amen.
I believe
I believe in one God, the Father Almighty,
Creator of heaven and earth,
and in Jesus Christ, His only Son
Our Lord, who was conceived by the work and grace of the Holy Spirit.
He was born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under the power of Pontius Pilate,
He was crucified, dead, and buried,
descended into hell and on the third day
he rose from the dead,
he ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of God the Father Almighty.
From there he shall come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Holy Catholic Church,
the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins
the resurrection of the flesh and eternal life.
Amen
Then with the normal rosary beads, 5 decades are prayed. Each decade on the beads.
it begins by saying:
Eternal Father, I offer you the Body and Blood, the Soul and Divinity of Your most beloved Son,
Our Lord Jesus Christ, as atonement for our sins and the sins of the world.
whole.
Final Prayer (optional): "Oh Eternal God, in whom mercy is infinite and the treasure of
inexhaustible compassion, return to us Your kind gaze and increase Your mercy in
we, so that in difficult moments we do not become desperate or discouraged, but rather,
With great confidence, we submit ourselves to Your holy will, which is Love and Mercy itself.
Same. Amen" (Diary, 950).
Conclude with the Sign of the Cross. In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
