Confirm that Valve nameplate complies with Data Sheet and nameplate

2 Confirm valve location & orientation is correct to detail drawings
Check and confirm Installation and bolting arrangement is in accordance with

required specification drawing and manufacturers instructions.
Check access for operation is acceptable and there is sufficient clearance for
4
maintenance removal etc.
Confirm that inlet and outlet piping to valve mating flanges are in parallel and
5 angular alignment with the correct gaskets installed. Complete ITR M-27A.
Ensure that on tightening bolts no imposed stress is applied to valve.
Check all PSVs installed, undamaged and seals intact – complete ITR form

M-28A for PSVs
Confirm that valve lubrication is completed to the required specification
7
(Record Type / details of valve lubricant in Remarks below)
Ensure that handwheel, lever or geared actuator is fitted and that valve can be
8
operated without undue strain across complete operating range.
Confirm that valve actuator is installed satisfactory and that any interlock
9 mechanisms associated are fitted correctly.
Ensure interlock keys are safely stored.
10 Check Earth bonding Strap if required is installed.
11 Hand operated valves are to be stroked (open/closed) to confirm that valve is
not tight or seized.
