Aiwa TV Service Mode

Aiwa Model: TV-AR295


Press the SW702 (service) key on the main board of the device. Use CHANNEL +/- to select the parameters and VOL +/- to adjust the value.
To exit, press OSD/OUT on the remote control.

Aiwa Model: VX-T1470 VX-T2170 VX-G142 VX-S135 VX-S205 and others COMBOS (TV+VCR).
Disconnect from the socket for more than 30 minutes or short-circuit the 'backup' capacitor. Set the volume to minimum, press VOL -
simultaneously with the 9 key on the remote control. With buttons 1 to 7 (1 to 8 in some models) different modes (sub-menu) are selected

CHANNEL +/- modifies the menu number and with VOL +/- enters the sub-menu.

Memorization of the PP
standard and channel tuning Tune any channel with antenna or generator signal. Press the MENU button and then adjust color, brightness,
contrast, volume for a normal image and finally do the memorization of the PP.
Access the programming again by grounding pin 10 of IC7900 and then press the INSTALL key for more than 2 seconds to memorize.
To perform the tuning in program mode, a generator with all VHF/UHF/Cable channel frequencies is required. If not,

C.2. Plate Adjustments


Horizontal Frequency Adjustment
Insert a monoscope signal.
2. Enter Service Adjustment Mode.
3. Connect a frequency counter to the base of Q501 (TP-500 H. DRIVE).
4. Select the item from AFC, adjust to level 3 (free).
5. Check the horizontal frequency for 15735 ± 200 Hz. (NTSC) or check the horizontal frequency for 15650 ± 200 Hz. (Trinorma).
6. Select the AFC item again, set the level to '0'.
7. Write to memory by pressing MUTING then ENTER.
Adjustment of the Vertical Frequency 1. Select video 1 with no input signal.
2. Adjust the conditions with the default adjustment.
3. Connect the frequency counter to the TP-508 or CN501 VDY (+) pin 6 connector and ground.
4. Check the Vertical Frequency for 60 ± 2 Hz (NTSC).
5. Check the Vertical Frequency for 50 ± 2 Hz (Trinorma).
Sub Contrast Adjustment (SCON)
1. Insert a colored bar.
2. Select the red color.
3. Adjust to SERVICE MODE.
4. Select the DCOL item for level '0'.
5. Adjust the conditions as follows.
