PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE PLAN

ELECTRICAL MAINTENANCE

Set of timely, continuous, and permanent actions aimed at anticipating and ensuring the
normal operation, the efficiency and good appearance of electrical equipment.

This type of maintenance is performed by removing the machine or equipment from operational service.
to carry out inspections and replace (or not) components according to a schedule
planned and organized in advance, tightening and cleaning of electrical panels (that
we also design), actions at hot spots, scheduled reviews of the
installations, etc... General procedure for carrying out said maintenance:

MAINTENANCE ORDER
MAINTENANCE PLAN FOR LOW VOLTAGE ELECTRICAL PANELS

In order to maintain the good functional condition of the main and secondary switches,
contactors, push buttons, and in general all the elements that make up a panel, is carried out the
preventive maintenance service, which consists of physical inspection, general cleaning,
tighten connections, as well as mechanical and electrical tests. The above is carried out
using the appropriate safety equipment and tools, as well as measuring equipment
corresponding. Every responsible plant operator must know the three necessary rules.
for the conservation of these devices in good condition:

1. Follow a preventive inspection program consisting of a list of elements that

They must be included in every inspection.

2. To have a stock of spare and repair parts such as those that are
they are included in the manuals of each element.

3. Save a lot of time and avoid hassles by acquiring parts from the manufacturer themselves.
of the device, which ensures that the spare parts have the characteristics of the pieces
originals.

The application of maintenance will be reflected in:

Electricity distribution.
Increase in productivity.
Decrease in unexpected electrical service outages.
Reduction of repairs.
Cost reduction.
Increase the lifespan of your equipment.

GENERAL MAINTENANCE PROCEDURE FOR ELECTRICAL PANELS

Identify the phases of the power cables.

Measure voltages, currents, temperatures, and ground resistance.
Check if it is feasible to de-energize the panel before maintenance.
Verify that the ground conductor cables are well secured, correctly.
connected and that there is electrical continuity between the cables and the structure of the
board.
Verify that the physical characteristics of the board correspond to what has been reported in the
single line diagram.
Check for any visible damage or loose parts; if there are loose parts, readjust them.
adequately (Fasteners in switches or bars).
Verify that there is no abnormal heating of the service conductors.
If there are power elements for switching (contactors for starting
motors) disassemble them and check the condition of the platens (contacts) as well as clean them.
core of the drive coil, never sand either the platens or the core, if the platens
they are worn out, it is better to change the component or the plates.
Clean the board with a vacuum cleaner or a brush.
Review and maintain all thermal-magnetic circuit breakers.
Comb all the wires of the panel.
Check the sealing of the panel.
Check the sealing of the current transformers.
Fill the circuit and legend directories.
Take the danger and safety signals.
If forced ventilation is present, check that the fans rotate freely.
Touch up the paint on the dashboard doors if necessary.
Power up the board and check its perfect functioning.
Compliance of the work performed by the plant maintenance staff.
