THE SOFERINES

The Hebrew term that translates the word "copyist" is Sofer, which refers to the
the action of counting and recording each word. In ancient Israel, being a scribe or
writing became a profession

The scribes or soferim were professional people who lived

dedicated to their work. Copying the Bible. The 'soferim' can be considered
like the predecessors of the 'masoretes'. In turn, the soferim are the
heirs of the "Scribes" who copied the biblical scrolls in the time of
exile and post-exile. For five hundred years, the soferines were placing the
bases for future vocalization and the establishment of an 'interpretation

THE MASORETES

"Masorah" derives from the Hebrew root "atar". Others consider that it comes from the verb
"transmit". The term "masorah" means "tradition". The "masorah"
begins to develop around the year 500 of the Christian era and has
valid until the year 1000 A.D. starting from the sixth century the 'Masoretes' take
the place of the 'soferim', the ancient Scribes, who were in charge of the care
and the transmission of the biblical text. In addition to their copying work, the Masoretes
they introduced a textual device through which the Holy Scriptures were interpreted.

Preserve the integrity of the text.

Interpret the text. There were three 'traditions' or 'schools' of masoretes:

one in Babylon, another in Palestine and another in Tiberias (Galilee). As time passes
of the centuries this last one prevailed.

What we have from the Bible today that corroborates the origin
supernatural of the Word since no other book in history is or has been
has been transmitted like the Bible.

FOR THE NEW TESTAMENT

In the origins of the Church, the rule of faith was found in oral teaching.
of the apostles. As time passed, the urgent need was felt to put forth
writings of the teachings of the Lord Jesus and the most outstanding traits of his
life. This was the origin of the gospels.

On the other hand, the apostles spiritually fed the faithful through
letters, according to the problems that were arising. This was the origin of the
Epistles. In the middle of the 1st century, they began to copy and collect the writings.
divinely inspired by the apostles and New Testament prophets.
Where, perhaps, Rome first knew the Gospel of Mark (which, as
companion and speaker of Pedro, wrote there) and Syria had the Gospel of
Matthew, while a group of believers from various towns possessed it

end of the 1st century, in a single volume that was called “The Gospel”. Back then
period, the letters that Paul had written to various churches and individuals already
they were collected, and a collection circulated among the churches under the title of
The Apostle
In this collection, the book The Acts of the Apostles was very interesting.
As an illustration; it was a writing by Luke, which with his Gospel must have
formed a single book. Alongside these volumes, the letters of other apostles and
of 'apostolic men' as well as the Revelation of John were recognized
as of divine origin and accepted in the canon of the NT already in the 2nd century A.D.
The Bible was not only completely written, but it also began to
circular in complete volumes. This Bible contained the OT in the version
Greek, and the Greek NT in which it had been written. When in the 3rd century, it arose
the codex (Codex), for the first time it was possible to compile the Bible in a single
volume. Not a single complete one of such Bibles has been preserved,
partly because the material used was almost always the perishable papyrus, and in
partly because some Caesars (specifically Diocletian, late 3rd century)
they carried out crackdowns against the Bible and destroyed large quantities of it.

(Fragment)

Even the white man, whose God walks with him and converses with him as a friend.
a friend cannot be exempt from the common destiny. Perhaps we are brothers,
after all. We'll see. We know something that the white man will discover
someday: that our God is your same God. Now you may think that you are
owner of our lands; but you cannot be. He is the God of humanity and
His compassion is the same for the white man. This land is precious to Him and
causing harm means showing contempt for your Creator. Men
whites will also pass, perhaps before the other tribes. If you contaminate
your bed, you will die one night suffocated by your own
waste. But even in your final hour, you will feel enlightened by the idea
for what God brought you to these lands and gave you dominion over them and over the
man with red skin with some special purpose. Such destiny is a mystery
for us because we do not understand what it will be when the buffalo have
they will have been exterminated, when the wild horses have been tamed, when
the hidden corners of the forests exhale the smell of many men and
when the view of the green hills is blocked by a swarm of
talking wires. Where is the dense forest? It disappeared. Where is
the eagle? It disappeared. Thus ends life and begins survival....
