Types of Dance
Dance in worship and praise: it is performed with the purpose of magnifying the Lord
for what He is in Himself. (Holy, Just, Faithful, True, Love, etc.) as well as
to exalt him for his works and to give thanks for his blessings. He is manifested
for acts of reverence, prostration, raising of hands, jumps, rolls, spins,
laughter, gestures of joy and much happiness.
Congregational dance: the whole people unite as one body, in one spirit,
worshiping and dancing to the creator.
Interpreter dance: it is fixed and fine steps given by God. It is what God desires that
let's dance and minister to His people. The interpretive dance is one of the branches of the
most beautiful dance that can exist. They are steps or movements that flow through the
ministry in the preparation of our praise to God.
Davidic dance: it comes from the tabernacle of David. In Acts 15:16, the Lord says that
he will rebuild the tabernacle of David, which is fallen; and repair its ruins, and
he will lift it up again.
The Davidic dance represents the heart of the worshiper that David had, the joy that
we feel when we worship you and the joy of the Lord which is our strength. Also known
as an Israelite; for the Jews, dance has always been a prayer accompanied by
music, chants and the sound of drums that are divided into three categories: all
Hebrew dances that took place during the time of David.
Jasidism: from the Hebrew Hasid, means pious, kind. It is practiced by Jews.

Yemeni: it is classified into three categories: Liturgical: reserved for worship, it is sung
only for men in Hebrew or Aramaic. Secular: expression of daily life,
It is sung only by women. Diwan: they are collections of spiritual texts and
secular songs are mainly sung at special events such as weddings and parties.
The Diwan consists of three phases: Nashid, a 'a cappella' prelude; Shira, (singing)
it is the main component, accompanied by music and dance; Hallel, (praise) is
sung by the dancers.
