Christmas Play Script - 'The Birth of Jesus'

Narrator
In those times, Augustus, the Roman emperor, ordered
that a census should be made to know how many people
they had in their empire.
Roman soldier
All the inhabitants of the empire must go to the city of origin.

Joseph and Mary embarked on a long journey from Nazareth to

Yes, let's go!
(Upon arriving at the portal, they kneel before the child.)
Melchior
I offer you gold.
Gaspar
I bring you incense.
Baltasar
And I bring you myrrh.
Mary and Joseph
Thank you very much to everyone for your gifts.

Narrator
It was on December 25 that the Savior was born in Bethlehem.
Jesus.
