TASK 1

The bar chart depicts the percentage of people who purchased and regularly
consumed coffee and tea across five Australian cities, namely Sydney, Melbourne,
Brisbane, Adelaide, and Hobart, in the given period.
In general, it can be seen that in almost all cities, the number of consumers who
had a habit of buying and drinking coffee and tea was higher than 30 percent.
Additionally, in the last four weeks, people often have a passion to go directly to a
cafe to drink instead of taking away, which occupied the highest number in five
cities, with the exception of Adelaide.
Looking first at Melbourne, going to a cafe was the most vital option for
consumers, accounting for 64 percent, followed by Hobart, and Sydney, just a little
over 60 percent. However, the proportion of people who purchased instant coffee
held the highest rate, representing nearly 55 percent, while the figure for people
drinking this category in Melbourne and Sydney accounted for below 50 percent.
People's traditional coffee buying habits were not prevalent in Sydney, which stood
at 44 percent, around nearly 2 percent and 10 percent higher than that of
Melbourne and Hobart, respectively, and led a predominant position in this
category.
Turning to the remaining cities, Brisbane had a large number of people buying
both instant and fresh coffee, at over 50 percent. In contrast, the quantity of people
drinking these two beverages is approximately equal, with just 50 percent.
Notably, the figure for fresh coffee consumers in both these cities recorded the
lowest level in the five cities over the period, occupying just nearly 35 percent.
TASK 2
In many parts of the world, people consider owning a home more crucial than
renting. This essay will explore the reasons behind this mindset and explain why I
believe this is a generally positive trend.
On the one hand, there are convincing reasons why people prefer to own a house
rather than rent one for a long time. The key rationale in favor of this notion is that
they would like to have a sense of stability and security that it provides. Owning a
property means they no longer have to worry about rising rental prices. As a result,
people would avoid lots of risks or being forced to move. A typical example of this
is that in developed cities in Vietnam, such as Ha Noi and HCM city, almost all
families, or even students, who come from other cities often spend almost half of
their monthly income on rent. Therefore, they would not be likely to save money
for important purposes.
On the other hand, having a possess house would be a great investment. This is
because people are able to enhance their health and other essential soft skills
instead of using that money for renting. That amount of money could help them
develop well-rounded and some basic skills like swimming, communication, or
even expense management. Additionally, if they also have an extra amount, they
could invest in land to increase their income.
In conclusion, owning a home has a lot of benefits, such as financial stability and
investment in the future. I believe that this is a positive situation as it promotes a
sense of belonging and peace of mind.
