Regular maintenance can help prolong the life of electric motors and
PURPOSE: prevent downtime and costly repairs.
Compliance with these instructions will allow for a better performance

1. Prior to starting maintenance, ensure that the motor and all Yes/Sí NO

2. Always wear appropriate safety equipment when working with Yes/Sí NO
electric motors. If you are unsure about any aspect of this
maintenance procedure, seek guidance from a qualified
electrician or maintenance technician.
3. The correct isolation and lock out tag out procedure should be Yes/Sí NO
followed. Mechanical maintenance crew to lock out.
4. Revise risk assessment to identify additional risks related to Yes/Sí NO

INSTRUCTION/INSTRUCCION CHECK/CHEQUEAR
1. Shut off power to the motor and lock out the electrical panel. // Yes/Sí NO

2. Remove the motor cover or housing and visually inspect the Yes/Sí NO
motor for any signs of damage or wear. // Retire la cubierta o
carcasa del motor e inspeccione visualmente el motor para
detectar cualquier signo de daño o desgaste.
3. Use a multimeter to test the motor windings for continuity and Yes/Sí NO
resistance. // Utilice un multímetro para comprobar la
continuidad y la resistencia de los devanados del motor.
4. Check the motor bearings for wear or damage. If necessary, Yes/Sí NO
replace them with new ones. // Compruebe si los cojinetes del

5. Inspect the motor's fan blades and clean them if necessary. // Yes/Sí NO
