EXECUTIVE ORDER NO.08 SERIES 2025
AN ORDER ORGANIZING THE BARANGAY COUNCIL PROTECTION FOR CHILDREN (BCPC)
OF BARANGAYDANSULAO MALANGAS ZAMBOANGA SIBUGAY.
WHEREAS, Republic of the Philippines Act (RA) No. 7610 Special Protection of Children Against child
Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act provides for stronger deterrence and special protection
against child abuse, exploitation and discrimination, and its corresponding penalties:
WHEREAS, Article 359 and 360 of the Civil Code of the Philippines provides that the government
shall establish Councils for the Protection of the Children;
WHEREAS, Article 87 Presidential Decree [PD] 603 children and youth welfare code state that,
every barangay council shall encourage the organization of LPC an implementing plans for the
promotion of child youth welfare;
NOW THEREFORE I, ROD D. PINDI , Punong Barangay of Barangay Dansulao, Municipality of
Malangas, Province of Zamboanga Sibugay, by the virtue of power vested in me by laws do hereby
order to Organize the Barangay Council for the Protection of Children [BCPC].Committee to wit;
SECTION 1. COMPOSITION OF BCPC
CHAIRMAN: ROD D. PINDI Punong Barangay

SECTION 2. Function of the Committee. The committee shall perform the following functions:
1. Foster Education of every child;
2. Takes steps to prevent Juvenile delinquency and assist parents of children with behavioural
problems so that they can get expert advice;
3. Adopt measures for the health of children ;
4. Conduct capability building projects to increase knowledge and skills in handling children’s
program;
5. Encourage the proper performance of the duties and responsibilities of parents, and provide
learning opportunities and positive parent-child relationship;
6. Promote wholesome entertainment in the community, especially in movie house.
7. Prepare awfp for children and recommend appropriation to the Sanggunian.
8. Provide coordinative linkages with other agencies and institutions in the planning,
monitoring and evaluation of plans for children.
9. Establish and maintain database on children in the barangay
10. Advocate for the establishment and maintenance of playground, daycare centers and other
facilities necessary for child and youth development.
11. Advocate for passage of barangay resolutions/ ordinances responsive to child-related issue
and concerns and ensure the inclusion of child’s program in the execute agenda;
12. Protect and assist children in need of special protect [e.g. abandon agencies/institution
13. Monitoring situational report on children and prepare quarterly updates including the
implementation of children’s program and make recommendations to the municipal CPC for
consideration and nationwide application
14. Perform such other functions and other functions and other child related laws especially in
matters of child parent education health entertainment Etc.
SECTION 3. FUNDING
ALL expenses for the children’s programs shall be taken out from the 1% BCPC fund, and portion
from the 5% Gender and Development Funds, 20% Development Fund and Especial Education
Fund.
SECTION 4. EFFECTIVITY
This Executive Order for the BCPB shall take immediately.
