I then when to the front/back. I created 3 different shapes for the front and then added my logo to the middle shape. On the back I put my contact information as well as added a picture.

Learn to blend images together smoothly, using masks. Use filters. Apply appropriate typography. Choosing good quality images. Apply typography principles. Unifying a piece with a consistent theme. Process: I retrieved my pictures from emails that my missionary Cory has sent me. Then started with my background and added each picture individually. For each picture I used a mask so that I could blend them together to form a montage. I used the brush tool with a few different levels of opacity to make the three top images look ghostly. I then added a quote about missionaries. The last thing I did was add a warming filter to the entire montage.

Logos
Description: Three different logos for the same company. Programs used: Adobe Illustrator Date: November 2, 2013 Course/Instructor: Comm 130 Section 6, Julie Petrsen Objective: Create a variety of logos to fit a company or personal image. Ask ten people to select their favorite logo. List the results, along with your favorite, in your blog post. Process: It was a little difficult to design logos using illustrator but it went well I think. I used different fonts for each logo to create contrast.

Web Page
Description: The webpage I designed to showcase my logo that I created. Programs used: Notepad and Adobe Photoshop Date: November 21, 2013 Course/Instructor: Comm 130 Section 6, Julie Petrsen Objective: Size and optimize an original logo as a .png for a web page. Write content to describe the process of creating your logo and how it appeals to a target audience. Design a web page using HTML to display the logo and content. Acquire a working knowledge of HTML. As well as tag that links to external style sheet. Acquire a working knowledge of CSS. Identify hex colors for web design. Compress multiple files in a zipped folder to attach as one file. Open your HTML page in a web browser, take a screen shot, and place the .png on a 8.5 x 11 page and print in color. Keep . 5 inch margins on top and sides, with bottom margin at least .5 inch. Make sure your print is setup on a portrait style page. Make sure it is a quality print with ledgible text. Process: Before this project I had never used or even heard of HTML/CSS. I designed this website using Notepad which is an editing app. I have no idea how webpages were created so it was really interesting and cool to see my webpage come to life. Once I created my HTML and added my image I then linked a pre-made CSS document. This allowed me to change the style of the website. From there I added my colors, fonts, borders, and so forth. I also had to add padding so that everything was aligned and not to close to the edge.
