Sorcerer in MMORPGs are typically your standard ranged dps or healing class. But TESO allows us to choose any of the e isting weapon and ar!or s"ills to create our own class and playstyle. The Stor!"night is #ased on a !ediu! to hea$ily ar!ored Sorcerer who !a"es use of #oth !agic"a and sta!ina to deal large a!ounts of single- and especially !ulti- target da!age. %t is reco!!ended to use &'anded (eapons #ecause they allow us to )uic"ly recharge our *lti!ate. +nother sta!ina #ased weapon set can #e used for single target da!age or tan"ing, #ut we-ll stic" to our &'and !ost of the ti!e #ecause of the synergy #etween .ar$e and O$erload.

Let's start with the allocation of stat points:

T he Stormknight is one of the least resource dependent classes in TESO. /ou will #e using !agic"a for #uffs, !o#ility and so!eti!es da!age spells. Sta!ina is used to generate *lti!ate and e cess sta!ina is spent on single target da!age attac"s. /our !ost i!portant stat is sta!ina, #ecause we-ll need it to generate our 0rd resource. +fter that co!es !agic"a and health. (e only need !agic"a to "eep up our #uffs and occasionally finish an ene!y off with Endless 1ury or $ia Bolt Escape. (hile we use O$erload neither !agic"a nor sta!ina are used and can regenerate. Most of the ti!e you will ha$e enough sta!ina left to dodge roll or #loc".

Choice of Armor:
Early ga!e the sorcerer class doesn-t ha$e any selfhealing spells. That-s why i reco!!end using 'ea$y +r!or for le$eling and dungeon runs with a lot of inco!ing da!age. /ou only need the first 0 passi$e s"ills, #ecause the other & passi$es !erely increase #loc"ing effecti$eness and inco!ing healing. (e-re ta"ing this for sur$i$a#ility, #ecause the tan" won-t #e a#le "eep all da!age away fro! you, when you unleash the God of Thunder on your ene!ies. /ou only need 2 s"ill points for this3 4ater on we can ta"e Mediu! +r!or for increased sta!ina

regeneration, attac" speed and critical hit chance. The use of Mediu! +r!or opens up #ecause we #uff oursel$es with .ritical Surge, which )uic"ly replenishes our health.

Storm Calling skills:


The first spell we learn as a Stor!"night is Mages Fury. Ene!ies that drop #elow a certain health threshold will e plode with lightning. %t is our low !agic"a cost ranged E ecute a#ility which is spa!!a#le while !o$ing. Morphed to5 Endless Fury. Replenishes part of your !agic"a if an ene!y dies fro! Endless 1ury. Lightning Form increases our +r!or and Spellresistance #y a $ery large a!ount. /ou should always cast this if you ha$e aggro. %t also deals s!all a!ounts of aoe da!age. 4asts for 6 seconds. Morphed to5 Boundless Storm. %ncreases !o$e!ent speed for the duration #y &78. 9the other !orph, which increases the duration to : seconds, can also #e useful; Lightning Splash could potentially replace Endless 1ury as spa!!a#le aoe spell, #ut we already ha$e a $ery strong aoe a#ility and can !a"e #etter use of an e ecute. Surge increases your weapon da!age. 4asts for <2 seconds. Morphed to5 Critical Surge. .ritical stri"es heal the Player for =>8 of the da!age dealt. Our !ost i!portant a#ility for sustained sur$i$a#ility. +fter you get the !orph you can start wearing !ediu! ar!or for the critical stri"e chance which further increases the chance to trigger the selfhealing. Bolt Escape teleports the player forwards for <= !eters. %t also stuns near#y ene!ies for <.= seconds. Morphed to5 Both !orphs are useful. Streak da!ages and disorients ene!ies that you teleport through. Ball of Lightning creates a spar" that a#sor#s pro?ectiles for a few seconds. Ball of 4ightning see!s to #e a $ery cool supporti$e a#ility in dungeons or e$en in P$P. O erload e!powers our light and hea$y attac"s and !a"es the!

ranged. /ou can toggle this a#ility on and off, #ut you need a certain a!ount of ulti!ate to acti$ate it. 4ight attac"s are s!all lightning #alls that ha$e long range and only use up s!all a!ounts of ulti!ate. The hea$y attac" is a frontal cone for"ed lightning attac" that constantly da!ages ene!ies until you run out of ulti!ate. /ou can !o$e while holding the !ouse #utton down. This drains ulti!ate $ery )uic"ly. !"mprtant# $ou can%t strike an enemy so he falls o er after you &lock an attack or interrupt a spell' $ou first ha e to toggle off O erload and strike (ith your melee (eapon') Morphed to5 *o(er O erload. This increases the range and radius of your hea$y attac" to the e tent of a friggin- lightning stor!. The second !orph increases the da!age of #oth the light and hea$y attac"s and restore !agic"a. (e could also !a"e use of the increased !agic"a regeneration and use Endless 1ury in co!#ination with Crystal Shard !orphed to Crystal Fragments to increase our spell #urst potential. But i feel li"e the #ig range is needed to !a"e O$erload effecti$e in dungeons. Energi+ed and ,isintegrate are the two passi$es that are useful for us. @isintegrate could potentially wor" great with O$erloads hea$y attac". The other two passi$es are optional for #etter !agic"a !anage!ent.

Dark Magic skills:


Crystal Shard can #e used if you ha$e a lot of !agic"a or !agic"a regeneration. Good synergy with Energy O erload, which generates !agic"a for e$ery light or hea$y attac".

Weaponskills:

2 Handed Weapons:
Clea e in co!#ination with O$erload is our !ost i!portant a#ility. %t hits all ene!ies in a 2 !eter radius in front of the Player and applies a #leeding de#uff for <> seconds. Morphed to5 Car e. Gain & additional ulti!ate for e$ery target hit. (ith .ar$e you can regenerate your ulti!ate with 0-7 swings on a group of ene!ies. Critical Charge deals da!age and is always a crit...always a crit...+4(+/S + 'E+43 (ith .ritical Surge you #asically always heal for =>8 of the da!age done #y .ritical .harge. Morphed to5 Critical -ush. %ncreases da!age #ased on distance tra$eled. 1or P$P5 Stampede. %!!o#iliAes the target for & seconds. .ppercut deals a good a!ount of da!age with high sta!ina cost, "noc"s down B stuns for 0,= seconds. 'as a < seconds casting ti!e. Morphed to5 /recking Blo(. Ce t attac" deals increased a!ount of da!age. -e erse Slash has roughly half the sta!ina cost of *ppercut #ut deals less da!age. B*T the da!age of the a#ility is increased #y up to 0>>8 #ased on !issing health of the ene!y. (e already ha$e a !agic"a #ased e ecute, #ut this can also #e !orphed to -e erse

Slice, which hits & additional targets and !a"es it a great clea$ing attac" to #ring down groups at the cost of sta!ina instead of ulti!ate. Mo!entu! increases your weapon da!age #y &>8 for &> seconds and for an additional &8 e$ery & seconds for a total of 0:8 fro! <:&> seconds. 4et-s hope so!eone #rings out an addon to !onitor stac"s on that3 Morphed to5 -ally. 'eals the Player at the end of the duration. @oesn-t see! to #e that useful #ut it-s a sta!ina #ased heal... with a delay of &> seconds. But still, it heals. This will occasionally help, #ut you can-t "now if you need healing in &> seconds. Dust a nice little #onus. 1or P$P5 For(ard Momentum. Ends snare effects on acti$ation. +ll passi$e s"ills are useful. So!eti!es we-ll #e light attac"ing with our &'and and the reduced sta!ina cost is also helpful.

1or single target only fights it would ta"e too long to regenerate you ulti with only one ene!y. %-d reco!!end using @ual (ield or a Bow to use your sta!ina on high da!age single target a#ilities. Only needed for !a i!iAing your da!age output. /ou-ll pro#a#ly do fine with your &'anded (eapon. EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE EEEEEEE +lright. These are all the useful s"ills for the Stor!"night. /ou can switch #etween hea$y and !ediu! ar!or if you need sur$i$a#ility. Otherwise 4ightning 1or! and .ritical Surge should "eep you ali$e and !a"e you $ery tan"y at the cost of !agic"a. Cow... we can only ha$e = s"ills and one *lti!ate on our hot#ar at a ti!e... which a#ilities do we chooseF

For starters we won't ha!e all a"ilities like Critical S#rge$ M% first le!eling "#ild wo#ld look like this:
4ightning 1or!, .ar$e, *ppercut, .ritical Rush, Endless 1ury,

O$erload B 'ea$y +r!or This #uild can #e done $ery early and you ha$e e$erything you need... e cept for a heal. 4ightning 1or! is a $ery good sur$i$a#ility cooldown, which can also increase your !o$e!ent speed to escape or ?ust )uic"ly tra$el around. .ar$e restores your ulti!ate, !ainly used in groups. *ppercut deals with strong ene!ies. .ritical Rush is for !o#ility and Endless 1ury is one of the #est and cheapest spells to e ecute s!all !o#s. /ou can toggle #etween range and !elee dps or pic" off targets fro! range and switch to !elee when they co!e close. +lways use light attac"s in ulti!ate for!, #ecause it drains far less ulti!ate and you won-t ha$e a chance to )uic"ly regain ulti!ate whithout groups of ene!ies. %t will still last )uite a while #ecause you always get ulti!ate fro! "ills. %n @ungeons spa! .ar$e until your ulti!ate is full, toggle O$erload on, acti$ate 4ightning 1or! and hold hea$y attac" until your ulti!ate is used up. 4ightning 1or! again, #ecause now all the !o#s will #e focusing on you... finish off low life ene!ies with Endless 1ury and start all o$er again. @on-t forget to #loc" if so!ething is #eating on you after your 1irewor" Show3 repeat3

4ater on you should always use .ritical Surge and Mo!entu!. 4ightning 1or! is also %!portant, #ut you can switch it out for so!ething else, if your selfheal is strong enough. %n difficult dungeons i would still reco!!end using 4ightning 1or! #ecause of the huge a!ount of resistance it gi$es.

For m#lti& target gro#ps:

. ar$e, Mo!entu!, .ritical Surge, Endless 1ury, Re$erse Slice, O$erload 9Re$erse Slice and Endless 1ury could potentially #e replaced #y 4ightning 1or! andGor Bolt EscapeG.ritical Rush for !o$e!ent and sur$i$a#ility; .ar$e until your ulti!ate is ready, #uff yourself up and O$erload hea$y attac"... after that #loc" and hope you sur$i$e. 1inish off wea" ene!ies with Endless 1ury. repeat3

For single& target fights:

Either *ppercut or Re$erse Slice... or any other Sta!ina costing single target a#ility of another weapon set. Endless 1ury as an e ecute. Surge, Mo!entu! and 4ightning 1or! or Bolt Escape for sur$i$a#ility. *se O$erload to attac" fro! range with light attac"s. Single target da!age depends on #uff stac"ing and strong sta!ina attac"s.

Morph5 %ncreases duration for e$ery piece of hea$y ar!or e)uipped. +lliance (ar S"ills - +ssault Com&at Fren+y - gain &= *lti!ate when "illing another player. .ritical Surge will "eep you ali$e, you-re i!!une to .. #ecause of *nstoppa#le. 4ightning 1or! and Bolt 4ightning will also gi$e you !o#ility and sur$i$a#ility. (ith so!e support of an Earthen 'eart
