Trans Basic Operation:

Shift delay and pressure rise are controlled by vacuum modulator, while the up-shift signal is produced from output shaft mounted governor.
A kick-down rod is also used but only for full throttle
kick-downs.
Oldies but Goodies Trivia...
1964-66 years were Green Dot Drive applications.
Selector positions were P,R,N,D2,D1 & Low. D2
function was 2nd gear start and auto shift to 3rd.
D1 function was 1st gear start and auto shift to 2nd
and 3rd. Manual Low provides 1st gear only.
