Observation

Miss Colleen's class involved students writing a letter to themselves, then sharing with the class. She posed a problem about a silent student and had groups discuss strategies for engaging her. Miss Colleen demonstrated different interaction patterns to actively involve students, such as having them write a letter, share in groups, and divide time for each activity to keep the class running smoothly.

Observation, evaluation and reflection:

I attended Miss Colleens class. It was about writing a letter to themselves

individually and then share it with the whole class. After that she gave students a problem
about a girl who is silent in the class and she asked them to solve the problem as a
teacher. She asked them to think about speaking strategies to let the girl participate in
the class. She gave them about 10 minutes to do this activity. Then she asked them to
share their answers in groups and discuss about it.

I learned that students should do different interaction patterns in the classroom in

order to learn better and to be more involved in the classroom. Her strategies were simple
and strong. She showed the students a video about writing a letter to myself and then she
asked them to do the same for 15 minutes and then she shared her letter with the
students. She made students brave to share their (Love) letter. I also learned that dividing
time for every single activity will make the class run smoothly. She gives students some
time to share their work.
