FINECOAT - TVA1410
(Class H Finishing Varnish for Transformers & Motors)
PRODUCT
FINECOAT-TVA1410 is a finishing varnish based on epoxy ester resin and contains
inorganic fillers. It is an ideal finishing varnish for all Class H machines, especially for
traction machines. It provides good adhesion and bonding to the winding. It ensures
protection from moisture and chemical attack. The cured film has good anti-tracking
properties. FINECOAT-TVA1410 cures in to a tough, flexible and smooth film and also
gives good appearance to windings.

METHOD OF APPLICATION
FINECOAT-TVA1410 can be applied by brushing or spraying. While spraying, about 5 -
10% Thinner-1410 will be required to reduce the viscosity. The varnish must always be
stirred before use, to ensure uniformity.
USES
FINECOAT-TVA1410 is used as a finishing varnish on
- field coils
- overhangs
- transformers and
- other electrical windings.

Flash point : Not below 23o C
Precautions : As a general rule, inhalation of solvent vapours or
varnish mist must be avoided. Forced ventilation
must be provided while applying the paint. Wear
protective clothing like face-mask, gloves and
overalls.
STORAGE AND HANDLING
Storage : Store in a cool, dry place.
Shelf life : Minimum 12 months when stored in original sealed
containers.
Disposal : Dispose by incineration or as per local regulations.
