1. To learn how to measure specific gravity of the electrolyte inside the lead acid battery.
2. To become familiar with the charging procedure of the lead acid battery.
3. To observe the changes in specific gravity after charging.

Theory:
A battery cells specific gravity is a great way of measuring a batteries state of charge. This is because
during a discharge the specific gravity decreases linear with ampere-hours discharged. The specific gravity
also increases as the battery is recharged.

Equipment:
Lead Acid battery
Battery Charger
Connectors
Hydrometer
Distilled Water
Gloves

Procedure:
1. Take the hydrometer and know its basic principle of operation.
2. With the help of hydrometer measure the specific gravity of pure \\ater.
