Day 1

ETA – ETD

– 0530H check-in time at NAIA Terminal 3. Departure time Manila/Tuguegarao.

Meeting place for the tour at NAIA Terminal 3. Check-in baggage and
wait for the departure time.

0640H – 0710H Estimated time arrival in Tuguegerao Airport. Welcome to Province of


Cagayan. Departure time going to hotel.

Arrival at Tuguegarao Airport. Check-out Baggage and wait at the arrival


area to pick up by the car.

0730H – 0800H Estimated time arrival at Las Palmas de San Jose Hotel. Departure time
going to Basilica Minore of Our Lady of Piat.

Welcome drinks at the hotel lobby. Check-in baggage. Las Palmas de San
Jose Leisure Club is a popular choice amongst travelers in Tuguegarao
City, whether exploring or just passing through. The hotel offers a wide

0900H - 1110H Arrival at the church of Our Lady of Piat. Attend the on-going mass at the
church. Explore the Piat church.

One of the twelve Minor Basilicas in the Philippines. It is located in the


outskirts of Piat in the province of Cagayan. The shrine is dubbed as
the Pilgrimage Center of the North, and a home to the 407-year-old Black
Virgin Mary, Our Lady of Piat.

1220H – 1330H Arrival at Slobber Lab Restaurant. Buffet lunch will be served.

Slobber Lab is one of the popular Fast Food Restaurant located in


Diversion Road ,Tuguegarao City listed under Fast Food Restaurant in
Tuguegarao City.

1350H – 1420H Estimated time arrival at Cagayan Provincial Museum and Historical
Research Center.
Located at the provincial capitol complex, it was conceived by the
Provincial Board in 1971 and became operational on its inauguration on
August 15, 1973 during the traditional Aggao na Cagayan.

1450H - 1620H Estimated time arrival at Callao Cave, Seven Chambers of Light and
Darkness.

Callao Cave is only one of the 300 caves in the area, it is part of
the Peñablanca Protected Landscape and Seascape; one of the earliest
National Parks in the country and considered as the Cave Capital of the
Philippines. It has a total of nine chambers, seven of which can be
explored by visitors. Its remaining two chambers were closed off by an
earthquake during the 80’s. It is so massive; it covers two barangay in
town.

1650H – 1720H Estimated time arrival at Iguig Calvary Hills.

Calvary Hills is located within the grounds of the Spanish colonial era
church of Iguig, Cagayan. This area is known for its lifesize images of the
stations of the cross which is popular with devotees during the Holy
Week. Its elevation provides breathtaking views of the valley made fertile
by the Cagayan River.

1725H - 1755H Visit St. James Parish Church, Iguig. A walking distance from Calvary
Hills. Departure time going to Tuguegarao Cathedral.

The Iguig Church was constructed from 1765 to 1787. It is unique in that
it is the only centuries-old church in the country that features flying
buttresses behind it. But more than that, it is also believed that the church
houses the Jubilee Cross containing relic of the True Cross of the Lord
Jesus.

1825H – 1905H Estimated time arrival at Saint Peter Metropolitan Cathedral. Departure
time going back to hotel.

The Saint Peter Metropolitan Cathedral, also known as


the Tuguegarao Cathedral, is an 18th-century Baroquechurch located
along Rizal Street, Barangay Centro
10, Tuguegarao, Cagayan, Philippines. The church, originally built
by Dominican friars, is the seat of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of
Tuguegarao and is considered as one of the largest churches in
the Cagayan Valley. A historical marker bearing a brief history of the
church was installed in 1982 by the National Historical Institute, precursor
of the National Historical Commission of the Philippines.

going to San Pablo church.

0635H – 0725H Estimated time arrival at The Ruins at San Pablo Church. Departure time
going to Tumauini.

First built in early 17th century, San Pablo Church is said to be Isabela’s
oldest, if not the oldest in the entire Cagayan Valley. The town itself was
one of the earliest settlements during the Spanish colonial era in the
valley, then called Cabagan Viejo. The current stone church, unique in the
province (or perhaps the entire Valley) for the only one built in adobe
instead of the prevailing red bricks, was built in 1700s under the
Dominican friars. This church was featured by CNN in 2009. This was
when a CNN crew Dan Rivers went to the Philippines to cover a
typhoon that never came, and in the end, found this treasure.

0755H – 0835H Estimated time arrival at San Matias Parish Church. Departure time goinh
to Japanese Tunnel.

The Parish Church of San Matias was built in the 1780s by the
Dominicans. This is the best-preserved church ensemble in Isabela
although its convento is in ruins. The church can be considered to be the
best and most artistic brick structure in the Philippines. First built of light
materials by Francisco Nunez O. P., the parish was dedicated to the patron
saint, 1707. The church was erected by the Dominicans in 1753.

0910H – 1010H Estimated time arrival at Japanese Tunnel. Departure time going to
Museum and Library in Ilagan City.
The Ilagan Japanese Tunnel is a war tunnel that was part of a military
base built by the Japanese government as headquarters for its soldiers
during the World War II. It is found in Santo Tomas village in Ilagan
City in the province of Isabela.

1020H – 1100H Estimated time arrival at Museum and Library. Departure time gong to
Queen Isabela Park.

Isabela Museum and Library preserves Isabela's rich historical and


cultural heritage. On display are the museum’s collections of antiques
including artifacts, fossils, ethnographic items, heirloom pieces, visual arts
(photographs, paintings, sculpture, and graphic arts), historical and
cultural dioramas, and miniature models of provincial landmarks, among
others. Since its inauguration on 11 May 1999, the museum has been
located in Ilagan's old capitol building.

1105H – 1135H Estimated time arrival at the Park. Departure time going to Bert's Place
Restaurant.

This park is located in front Isabela Provincial Capitol in Barangay


Alibagu along the National Highway. It is the newest and the biggest park
in Ilagan. At the entrance is a fountain, with a statue commemorating
Queen Isabela II of Spain. There is no entrance fee. There is a big open air
amphitheatre, which can easily occupy hundreds of people.

1145H – 1330H Buffet lunch at Bert's Place Restaurant. Departure time going to Hacienda
De San Luis.

Bert's Place Restaurant is located at Gamu, Isabela, Philippines. An


affordable restaurant in town.

1350H – 1600H Estimated time arrival at Hacienda De San Luis. Departure going to Our
Lady of the Pillar Church.

The hacienda is founded in 1880's, named after the patron Saint of Spain,
St. Louis. Known during Spanish colonial rule as "Bodega de Tabacco" or
hacienda purchasing tobaccos driven away as a part of the galleon trade of
Manila-Acapulco in spanish period. The hacienda marks the touch of the
history of Katipunan forces, the Japanese occupation, World War II, and
other events of the Philippine history. Tabacalera hacienda de San Luis is
an ideal place to be adventurous, to have fun, and to enjoy.

1630H – 1700H Estimated time arrival at Our Lady of the Pillar Church. Departure time
going to Hotel.
It was in the year 1741 when the Dominican authorities, meeting in a
general chapter in Manila, declared this mission of Cauayan a full-fledged
parish. It was dedicated to Our Lady of the Pillar commonly known as the
NUESTRA SEÑORA DEL PILLAR in the old days. The first vicar of this
parish was Fray Antonio Del Ocampo who was at the same time Superior
of all the missions from Cauayan to Bayombong.

1710H Check-in time at Hotel Sophia. Buffet dinner will be serving.

0625H – 0700H Estimated time arrival at the church. Departure time going to Magat Dam.

0735H – 0900H Estimated time arrival at Magat Dam. Departure time going to Camp
Vizcarra.

0910H – 1030H Estimated time arrival at Camp Vizcarra. Departure time going to
Waterworld Grand Resort.

1100H – 1400H Estimated time arrival at Resort. Buffet lunch will be serve. Departure
time going to La Salette Shrine.

1435H – 1600H Estimated time arrival at Our Lady of La Salette Shrine. Departure time
going to St. James Parish Church.

1620H – 1700H Estimated time arrival at St. James Parish Church. Departure time going to
Amancio Farm Hotel.

1720H Estimated time arrival at hotel. Check-in hotel. Buffet dinner will be serve.
