Spiked Iced Tea
The only thing that could improve a glass of basil-peach iced tea? Bourbon.

ml bourbon

bags rooibos tea

ounce peach nectar

ounce lemon juice
¼
ounce simple syrup
Ice
Basil leaves for garnish

Simple syrup:

cup sugar
1
cup water
Preparation
Step 1
Make simple syrup: In a small saucepan, heat sugar and water over medium heat until sugar dissolves, about 3 minutes. Let syrup cool.
Step 2
Pour 1 bottle (750 ml) bourbon into a pitcher. Add rooibos tea bags. Steep up to 30 minutes; remove bags. In a cocktail shaker, combine 1 1/2 oz infused bourbon, peach nectar, lemon juice and 1/4 oz simple syrup. Shake and pour into ice-filled glass. Garnish with basil leaves and peach slices. Recipe can be doubled to serve 2.
