You will need to apply various Mechanical engineering disciplines including but not limited to Strength of Material, Heat transfer, and Machine design (Shafts and gears) to develop the aforementioned products. - Planning and executing mechanical designs using CAD and 3D Modeling. - Performing computer simulations and experiments to virtually test and refine the designs using FEA and CFD for design optimization and FOS (Factor of Safety). - Strong working capability with CAD and CAE simulation (Solid works, CATIA, Pro-Engineer, ANSYS etc). - Ability to deliver designs with datum structure, GD&T, and accurate tolerance stack-up analysis. - Sales: Meet internal milestones tracking towards sales realization and order book targets. - Record and evaluate testing data, altering designs as necessary to bring them to safety, performance, and efficiency standards. - Working knowledge of a large variety of materials (aluminium, steel etc.). - Experience with design for reliability and respective durability testing requirements. - Knowledge of stress analysis, gear mechanism, torque calculations, mechanical transmission system, and strength of the material. - Able to generate costout ideas, and value engineering proposals. - Must be capable of designing and calculating the power requirements for electric drives for BLDC/ DC/ Stepper motors. - Appreciation for Electronic packaging, Various IP (ingress Protection) standards, and EMI / EMC will be an added advantage. **Candidate Profile:** - B.Tech/B.E and M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from a reputed and recognized Institute. - A minimum of 4 - 6 years of experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer. - Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with knowledge of Mechanical engineering disciplines such as Strength of Material, heat transfer, Vibrations, and Machine design. - Attention to detail and critical analysis. - The ability to stay updated with the advancements in technology and engineering design trends. - Good knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerances). - Familiar with Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and different manufacturing processes including machining, arc & spot welding, PDC injection moulding etc will be an advantage.,

As a Qualcomm Hardware Engineer at Qualcomm India Private Limited, you will play a crucial role in planning, designing, optimizing, verifying, and testing electronic systems, circuits, mechanical systems, and various other cutting-edge technologies to launch world-class products. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions and meet performance requirements. Key Responsibilities: - Hands-on experience in different PnR steps including Floorplanning, Power planning, Placement & Optimization, CTS, Routing, Static timing analysis, Post route optimization, ECO implementation, and DRC closure. - Proficiency in high frequency design & advanced tech node implementations. - Understanding of PG-Grid optimization, including identification of high vs low current density paths & layer/via optimization, Adaptive PDN experience. - Knowledge of custom clock tree designs such as H-tree, SPINE, Multi-point CTS, and Clock metrics optimization through tuning of CTS implementation. - Ability to tackle high placement density/congestion bottlenecks. - Expertise in PnR tool knobs/recipes for PPA optimization. - Experience in automation using Perl/Python and tcl. - Strong communication skills and desire to work in a cross-site cross-functional team environment.
