You will join the Finance team of Goodera as a Finance Associate: US Tax, focusing on US tax compliance and reporting. Your role is crucial for ensuring accurate and timely adherence to US federal, state, and local tax regulations.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Prepare and support the filing of US federal and state income tax returns (Form 1120 and related state forms) for US entities, ensuring all deadlines are met.
- Manage the collection and reconciliation of financial data required for US tax compliance from various departments and accounting records.
- Support the Controller and external tax advisors during US tax audits by preparing documentation and responding to information requests.
- Research and document technical tax issues related to cross-border transactions, permanent establishment, and international tax reporting (e.g., Form 5471, 8858) as required.
- Ensure compliance with all US sales tax and withholding tax regulations, assisting with timely filings and reporting.
- Drive process improvements in tax data collection and reporting to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
**Required Skills and Qualifications:**
- Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification is mandatory.
- Minimum 2 to 3 years of dedicated experience in US corporate tax compliance and reporting.
- Strong working knowledge of US federal and state income tax laws and regulations.
- Familiarity with international tax concepts relevant to a multinational business (e.g., Subpart F, GILTI, BEAT, transfer pricing basics) is a significant advantage.
- Experience in preparing or reviewing US tax workpapers and schedules.
- Proficiency in MS Excel/Google Sheets and experience with tax preparation software is a plus.,
