Sexual Health Resources & Coupons

Sexual health is an important aspect of overall health and well-being, yet it is often ignored. It is so important that, in 2001, U.S. Surgeon General David Satcher issued a call to action to promote sexual health and responsible sexual behavior. The World Health Organization also emphasizes the importance of sexual health, reinforcing the idea that sexual health is more than the absence of disease, but also the ability to experience sexual pleasure and healthy relationships. Health insurance may cover some medications, such as antibiotics for sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) or erectile dysfunction (ED) medication, but it doesn’t cover all sexual health products—whether for painful sex, low sex drive, or sexual enhancement. SingleCare can help you save.

Why is sexual health so important?

Sexual health is not only important, but fundamental to people’s overall health and well-being, according to the World Health Organization. Access to sexual health resources and information is good for relationships and prevents negative consequences and conditions like sexually transmitted infections, unintended pregnancy, and sexual violence.

What is the best ED medication?

Common prescription drugs for ED are PDE5 inhibitors, such as Viagra (sildenafil), Cialis (tadalafil), Stendra (avanafil), and vardenafil. However, the best ED medication for you depends on various factors and is best determined by a licensed healthcare provider.

Are there any sexual enhancement pills for women?

Yes, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has approved two prescription medications for women experiencing low sexual desire: Addyi (flibanserin) and Vyleesi (bremelanotide).

Does estrogen cream help with libido?

There’s evidence that low-dose estrogen therapies, when combined with testosterone, may help with increasing sexual desire in women whose ovaries don’t produce enough sex hormones. However, most estrogen creams are intended to reduce vaginal dryness, which, in turn, can improve sexual health.
