This document summarizes information about women achievers and entrepreneurs in India. It discusses how women are increasingly taking on top managerial roles in business and are recognized for their economic contributions. It describes the selection process for social innovators and entrepreneurs, noting how family, education, and role models influence their development. Two women social entrepreneurs, Akshita Sachdeva and Saloni Sacheti, are profiled and how their motivations and experiences led them to this work. Finally, it outlines some of the challenges faced by women entrepreneurs like gender bias, lack of access to capital, and properly trained human resources.
