Deen Burbigo

French rapper Deen Burbigo is skilled at spinning complex, punch line-filled rhymes. He came up through the battle rap scene and earned a significant following on social media, gaining fame as a member of Parisian hip-hop crew L'Entourage. He made his solo breakthrough with 2012's Inception, and gradually shifted his music from a more laid-back, jazzy style to a harder-edged drill sound with subsequent releases like 2020's Cercle Vertueux and 2023's OG San II.Born Mikael Castelle in Marseille, he first used the name Ahmadeen, and formed groups such as La Relève and Retorist while developing his skills and establishing his profile as a battle rapper. He moved to Paris in 2008, where he studied for a history degree while continuing to pursue his career as a rapper. He participated in freestyle rhyme battles on the Rap Contenders YouTube channel, and he opened for Talib Kweli while a member of the Eurostreet Mouvement collective. His debut release as Deen, Dîn, Rimes et Interim, appeared in 2010. The rapper became a part of L'Entourage, along with other emcees such as Nekfeu and Alpha Wann. Inception, his first release as Deen Burbigo, appeared in 2012, with several other members of L'Entourage appearing on the song "Ma iv." Fin D'après-Minuit followed in 2014, and L'Entourage released their successful debut album, Jeunes Entrepreneurs. Grand Cru, Deen Burbigo's first full-length, appeared in 2017, departing from his earlier boom-bap style and embracing a more contemporary sound influenced by trap and R&B. The album was certified gold, and Burbigo formed the label Saboteur Records. Cercle Vertueux, his second full-length, appeared in 2020, and the drill-influenced EP OG San was released in 2021. The rapper's label roster came together for Saboteur Mixtape, Vol. 1 in 2022. OG San II followed in 2023, and Burbigo guested on Infinit's song "Wisconsin" in 2025.
