Wonderful throwback with compelling melodrama and just enough war movie thrills to balance the soft lens. Go to Full Review

Ford and Plummer have good chemistry together, and the action is nearly continuous. The narrative momentum picks up as the film progresses ... Peter Hyams has always been highly talented at telling a story through the visual medium. Go to Full Review

Dec 22 The plot is plausible. The acting is good. Cinematography is grand. I know some will think this is not important, but the score is all wrong! Opening scenes with the two characters, falling in love...ridiculous music. See more Rami A 10/16/2023 Harrison Ford and Christopher Plummer make a fantastic team despite the dull story. See more Steve D 08/15/2023 Forgettable but entertaining. See more jelisije j 10/13/2022 A movie that didn't get quite interesting until its last 30 minutes, but what can you expect from a love story. See more 02/23/2022 I found the bombing mission scenes to be disappointing. One of the crew continually making bad jokes about not wanting to be there and the bad blood between Harrison's character and the leader of the squadron before missions didn't seem at all realistic. Memphis Belle is about twenty times better. Nice Kublewagens that had VW gas caps. The romance wasn't all that convincing either. Should have been more like: "Okay, that was fun but I may get caught soon so let's stop doing this." Rather than the "true love" they tried to pass off. See more 12/06/2020 Entertaining. Little loose on facts. American pilots did not have long hair during WW2. Pilots based outside of London did not have access to Jeeps to go driving out into the country. Radio chat did not happen on bombing missions. Other than those mistakes the music was beautiful and the story very well could have happened. See more Read all reviews
