If you like slow burns and awkward moments, the abrupt dark ending is worth the journey into a mental breakdown

I'm not sure if the awkward acting in this moving was supposed to be intentional or not but it comes across poorly and had me cringing through the first 30 minutes especially combined with the oddly place dialogue. If you're really into the casts type of acting maybe this is for you.

Alicia is symbolized by the abandoned puppy. Judging by the whimpering in the truck at the end. Does she live or die. The pills she quit taking and the magic of Chile push her over the edge as did her peers in the film. Lots of symbolism. Sort of a Shamanic tale,

Juno Temple is one of those actresses that quietly carries a movie. She had a range of emotions to work with. It's a little tale about being surrounded by toxic relationships and the effects—good acting for some caustic personalities.
