A quick guide to repairing any bow in Minecraft to reset its durability
PDF download Download Article

Do you have bows you need to fix in Minecraft? When you use a bow and arrow, it loses durability over time. You can use the crafting slots in your Inventory, an Anvil, or a Grindstone to easily repair it. Keep in mind that you must use an Anvil if you want to repair an enchanted bow; this will save any added enchantments. This wikiHow will show you how to repair any bow in Minecraft Survival and Creative mode.

Things You Should Know

  • You can use an Anvil, Crafting Table, or Grindstone to repair a bow.
  • Place two bows in the anvil, and then place the newly repaired bow in your inventory.
  • You must use an Anvil if you don't want to lose any bow enchantments.
  1. If you don't have an anvil handy, you can craft one using 3 Iron Blocks and 4 Iron Ingots.[1]
  2. Though it may seem counterproductive, you must use an item of the same type to repair it. If you have two bows with low Durability, they can be used to repair one like new.
    • Bows can be crafted at a Crafting Table with 3 String and 3 Sticks.
