Fact: Bathroom scrubbers boost your cleaning routine by offering more power compared to a regular, manual scrub brush. This handy bathroom cleaning hack translates into less time spent scrubbing and scouring and—in the case of an electric scrubber with a long handle—less time on your hands and knees cleaning your shower surround or your tub.
Take it from us, we spent hours testing 15 different electric spin scrubbers in The Lab and at home, and evaluated their cleaning performance, ease of use, and overall value. Through our rigorous testing and long-term insights, we found that the powerful scrubbing action and versatile brush attachments made these cleaning tools much more effective on various bathroom surfaces, such as tile floors and grout, than a non-powered grout brush or sponge.
We also quickly learned that bathroom scrubbers with extendable handles gave us more reach, but sometimes resulted in a top-heavy design that made the scrubber harder to control. While absolutely useful in cleaning high and low areas, if you opt to use this feature, know that it’s not perfect.
Ultimately, we specifically included only electric scrubbers on our list, noting that the best ones have multiple attachments so you can use them on all kinds of surfaces and messes.
Best Overall
Klever Electric Spin Scrubber
Includes eight different attachments
90 minutes of battery life
Submersible
Rubber cap for charging port isn’t attached
The Klever Electric Spin Scrubber is our best overall pick. Why? Because it stands out for including eight versatile attachments. While other options we tested only include one or two attachments, this option gives you a variety of bristle-brush heads in a number of convenient shapes and sizes. Spinning at 200 rpm (revolutions per minute), that means you can let this powerful, cordless device do all the dirty work for you!
In testing, we found that the included umbrella brush is ideal for cleaning large surfaces, such as a tub or shower wall, while the cone-shaped, corner brush attachment is suited to clean tight areas, like a shower door. We just wish there was a sponge attachment to easily apply cleaning products, but this is by no means a dealbreaker.
During testing, we were pleased with how simple it was to attach and remove the brush heads. With just a little twist and pull, the rubber grip handle easily separates from the attachment, so that you can start cleaning right away. After testing, we also examined the brushes' bristles for any fraying and found that even after a thorough cleaning session, they still looked new.
We also love the long battery life; expect up to 90 minutes of run time before needing to recharge the device. In fact, even after months of testing, we were amazed at this device's ability to hold its charge. But we did notice that the rubber cap that protects the device’s USB-C charging port isn’t attached, which means you'll have to be careful not to lose it.
Despite this minor inconvenience, we're also impressed that this scrubber is totally waterproof, so you don't have to worry about losing power if it accidentally gets submersed in a bucket of soapy water. And when you actually do clean it, we discovered that it's a cinch to rinse off quickly—without any traces of grime.

Best Starter Kit
Rubbermaid Reveal Cordless Scrubber Home Kit
Includes interchangeable heads and pad refills
Simple and easy to operate
Rubber handle improves comfort and grip
Batteries required
Limited reach
We have good news: You can finally throw that old toothbrush out. The water-resistant Rubbermaid Reveal Power Scrubber is our top recommendation for a bathroom scrubber starter kit. It includes more attachments and pad refills than any other bathroom scrubber we tested, and we found that using the scrubber was easy and comfortable, thanks to intuitive controls and a comfortable rubber handle.
During testing, we appreciated how simple and quick it was to swap out a brush head by twisting it off the handle (perfect for those who don't love to clean!). And given the 18 accessories for this bathroom scrubber, we found ourselves switching brush heads more often than expected to optimize the tool’s performance for scrubbing grout lines, cleaning soap scum from countertops, or polishing sink fixtures. That's what makes this brush the ultimate starter tool—it has everything you need to get started with cleaning, and it excels at tidying up small, detailed areas.
We also love that the Rubbermaid Reveal Power Scrubber Starter Kit includes an extra-large brush, a delicate brush, a grout brush, microfiber pads, and non-scratch scrubber pads. This model is so useful and complete as a starter kit that we could easily see ourselves buying two scrubbers, dedicating one to the kitchen area and another to the bathroom. We especially found that the small grout brush is handy at getting the gunk out of tile grout lines.
In fact, we were surprised in our tests that the fast-moving bristles of the brush attachment didn’t cause any splatter from the mud we were trying to clean from the tile. The only downside? Unlike our best overall option, it’s not rechargeable and relies on four AA batteries, so you'll have to stock up on your supply.

Best Extendable
Homitt Electric Spin Scrubber
Handle extends up to 47 inches
Adjustable angle for brush attachments
Good for hard-to-reach areas
Top-heavy design
When we tested the Homitt Electric Spin Scrubber, we found it to be well-suited to clean a bathtub, especially with its extendable handle. So, if you like to relax in a weekly soak, this might be the cleaning tool for you! This bathroom scrubber has a single power setting, but we felt it worked effectively to clean mud from tile during testing, and the handle can be extended to a total length of 47 inches. It's our longest scrubber on this list.
The brush head attachment can also be angled, plus the additional reach and angle offered by this bathroom scrubber allowed us to easily clean the bottom of our bathtub.
The Hommitt Electric Spin Scrubber offers four different attachments, but they’re all brushes—no scrubbing pads are included. Swapping one brush head for another was simple and matched the intuitive, easy-to-use design of this scrubber as a whole.
The only quirk is that we found the design to be slightly top-heavy. In our tests, we noticed it takes a little more control to maneuver this scrubber than others, and it can be more challenging, especially when you first turn the scrubber on. However, we think it's still worth considering, especially if you aren't lifting this scrubber up to reach tall spaces, but using it to tackle your grimy bathtub.

Best for Grout
Black+Decker Power Scrubber Brush
Lightweight tool that is easy to hold
Fully submersible for up to 10 minutes
Great for tight grooves
Scrubbing pads show wear quickly
Cleaning tile and grout typically involves a lot of elbow grease, as you scrub the surface area of the tile and deep-clean the grout lines. We found that the job is much easier with the help of the Black+Decker Power Scrubber Brush. What sets this device apart is that this small, lightweight design makes this tool easy to hold.
As we tested, we especially love how the scrubbing pads do all of the heavy lifting, removing hard-to-clean grime with every spinning motion. We found that the Black+Decker Power Scrubber Brush includes two scrubbing pads, but we suggest being prepared to order more, since the pads show some wear after a single cleaning session. Based off our tests, we think they’ll need replacing after just a few uses.
While we think this electric scrubber would work best for tile and grout, our tests also proved that it can be used to easily clean countertop areas or your sink. In our long-term tests, we used it regularly to clean our shower shelves from stubborn soap scum.
The pads attach via Velcro, and we were worried they would fall off as they rotated. But our tests showed that they remained sturdy and stable as we cleaned. Even after six months of use, the scrubber has held up and works just as well as it did when we first began testing.
And although we wish that the Power Scrubber Brush was rechargeable (it uses four AA batteries), it is submersible in water for up to 10 minutes, so you can drop it in a bucket of water or solution as you’re cleaning without worrying about the device shorting out.

Final Verdict
Hands down, our overall best electric bathroom scrubber is the Klever Electric Spin Scrubber, because it includes eight useful attachments and is easy to hold and lightweight. We especially love that it won’t become tiresome to use over an extended period of time. If you are shopping for your first electric scrubber, we also like the water-resistant Rubbermaid Reveal Power Scrubber Starter Kit, because it's versatile and hardworking with 18 different cleaning attachments.
How We Tested the Bathroom Scrubbers
We tested 15 electric bathroom scrubbers in The Lab and at home, using six tests to determine which cleaning tools are the most effective and user-friendly. We evaluated each model based on its ease of use, performance, maneuverability, durability, ease of cleaning, and value.
We tested the effectiveness of each bathroom scrubber by applying a mud mask to a tile floor and grout lines, then used the electric scrubber alongside a manual one to determine if it was more effective and easier to use. We also considered the strength of the bristles on the electric scrubber and how they responded to force, observing whether they collapsed or showed excessive wear after one cleaning session. We also tested multiple attachments or handle extensions to see how easy it was to adjust the bathroom scrubber. In the case of those with extendable handles, we also tested their reach when cleaning a bathtub.
After six months of regular use, we relied on long-term testing insights to further evaluate our picks and gauge if these tools could continue to work well despite repeated use.
What to Look for in a Bathroom Scrubber
Opt for Brush Options With Different Functions
When it comes to using a bathroom scrubber, brush and attachment options can make a tool more effective on various surfaces. Some bathroom scrubbers include a single brush head, while others include brush attachments with different shapes—such as a cone-shaped brush for reaching into tight corners or cleaning grout lines.
Every bathroom scrubber we tested includes at least one brush attachment, but some models also include scrubbing pads for heavy-duty messes or a sponge attachment for really creating suds in your shower or tub. Having multiple types of attachments to choose from makes your electric scrubber more versatile, and ready for use in areas beyond the bathroom, such as the kitchen sink or oven door.
The Rubbermaid Reveal Power Scrubber Starter Kit covers all of the bases by giving you a few different brush attachments, along with microfiber pads and non-scratch scrubbing pads. So, if you're looking your first electric scrubber, this one is a good one to buy. We suggest a scrubber starter set like this one if you want to clean smaller surfaces, like the bathroom sink and decorative tile, along with larger areas like a shower surround, since it offers so many sizes and types of attachments.
Consider a Comfortable Grip and Extendable Handle
The length of a bathroom scrubber’s handle, along with its design and ergonomics can determine how easy it is to hold and use, especially for extended cleaning sessions.
Handheld bathroom scrubbers are ideal for cleaning surfaces within an arm’s reach, like your bathroom sink or countertops. They are also effective for cleaning tile floors or grout lines, but you’ll need to kneel to use the tool on the floor. That position may cause body fatigue, so you might consider a bathroom scrubber for tile and grout with an extendable handle, which gives you the ability to stand while using the bathroom scrubber—and more reach for cleaning tall shower walls.
During testing, we found that scrubbers with a long handle can be a bit top-heavy and may need additional lift support. The longer the extension handle, the more noticeable this becomes. That said, the Hommitt Electric Spin Scrubber, our best extendable scrubber, comes with an adjustable arm giving you up to 47 inches. It's the longest scrubber on our list, plus we still consider it to be easy to use and comfortable to hold.
Prolong the Life of Your Electric Scrubber
While testing bathroom scrubbers, we found that most models clean up easily, with little or no trace of cleaning product left on the bristles or scrubbing pad.
You can use the power of an electric scrubber to your advantage by inserting the brush head or attachment into a bucket of clean water and turning the scrubber on. This trick will swish clean water through the bristles, effectively rinsing away dirt and grime.
Generally speaking, we were impressed by the durability of most of the bathroom scrubber brush attachments we tested. For example, the Klever Electric Spin Scrubber (our best overall) showed no significant wear from testing, even when we applied pressure while using the attachments.
Still, to maintain a bathroom scrubber, you'll want to check the bristles or cleaning pads for signs of wear. If the bristles become frayed or bent, you might want to think about replacing the attachment head. The availability and cost of replacement attachments is something you'll want to consider when selecting an electric scrubber. Replacements can definitely add up, contributing to the product’s lifetime cost and longevity.
One More Thing
When you shop for bathroom scrubbers, there may be dupe products on the market. These products are similar to well-known brands, but often lack the quality or additional components. When procuring products for testing, we actually ran into a dupe. To avoid receiving a dupe bathroom scrubber, order from the brand directly or from a trusted online retailer.
